I played this today, and it sounds very nice. Keep in mind, that this is in the 100 series, so those guitars might not be that suitable for the very frequent performer. It was really a good experience going in and trying a few different Taylor guitars today. This one just sounded more "tinny". Otherwise, it is the best starter guitar anyone can get!

I am a composer and mostly write music for TV and commercials. After so many years looking for the ¨Right¨ Electro-Acoustic Guitar finally i got to the Taylor 110ce. In fact one day i just decided that i wanted a new guitar and i went to a music store to get a Taylor, because i always wanted one of this guitar. Then, i a try this one and it really blew me away!. This guitar pops out so much air pressure that it really stands on it´s own!. In fact, before buying this guitar i tried many different guitars of the same price range and the timbre and sound never came even closer. This is simply a $1500 plus value guitar at a lower price, period!.

(Acoustically) I love this guitar so much, I pick it up and never want to let it go. It has the most beautiful wood I have ever seen on any of my guitars. This guitar has so much power, yet doesn't have so much of a low end, which I really love to death. It just surprises me that I have finally found a guitar that I really love. The only thing I don't like is that there isn't a gloss finish, so my hand gets stuck on the neck at times. Otherwise, this is an awesome guitar for beginners and professionals alike.
(Electrically) This guitar surprises me, with it's transferable abilities. It will take the gorgeous sound of its acoustics, and will reflect it at your gigs, while on the P/A system. This really is the perfect guitar.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

What a great guitar. I picked this up and played a set at church the following day. The difference was huge. The sound this guitar brings is top notch. I couldn't ask for a better playing and sounding guitar. The price is fantastic. You get every penny you spend in quality and then some. More than anything else, this guitar is just fun to play. Taylor writes that it would be a good second guitar, but this is easily my first pick going forward for any set that I play.
