Taylor's last run of Brazilian imbuia limited editions was in 2003”a testament to the procurement challenge this exotic tonewood represents.

The beautiful batch of imbuia used for this special instrument exhibits deep caramel hues with rich variegation and is accented with a figured koa back mini wedge and a matching koa heel cap and binding. Tonally, imbuia's density yields tight, bright tones with plenty of low-end thump and sustain. This guitar is topped with Sitka spruce and features an abalone rosette with koa soundhole binding. Figured Hawaiian koa binding dramatically accents the body, neck and peghead, while a matching koa mini wedge bisects the bookmatched back panels. Tonally, imbuia's hardness and density yield a tight, crisp, responsive tone, with nice sustain and plenty of low-end "thump."
