Taylor

Exceptional construction, solid spruce top, sapele back and sides, and lively tone for a song!

The Taylor 2012 110 Sapele/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar gives you crisp, sweet tone with great visual appeal from an ebony fretboard and detailed finish. Refined traditional guitar shape and scalloped X-bracing accentuate the open, airy midrange you expect from a Taylor. Responds especially well to flat picking and heavy strumming.

Sapele Laminate/Solid Sitka
Laminated sapele backs and sides and a solid spruce top make for crisp and well-defined sound in this versatile mid-priced guitar.

Dreadnought (DN)
The Taylor dreadnought is a focused guitar with plenty of presence, recently redesigned to be even more assertive. It’s the traditional choice for the traditional player; the model to drive with a heavy pick.

Features:

As an owner of a Taylor 210 e, I bought this guitar for a friend who had his Martin 28D stolen. He really liked my Taylor, so I decided on the 110, being essentially the same, but without the electronics. He loves it, and we're both amazed at the quality of sound, from bottome to top and at such a price. Price was a factor in choosing this guitar over other similarily-priced brands, but I wouldn't have made a purchase at all based solely on that. I had read many reviews of Taylors and was convinced of their committment to consistent quality. Interestingly, the 110 has an ebony fingerboard, while mine has rosewood, but that seems to be the only real difference, The tops are spruce and the sides and back are sapele- an african tree similar to mahogany. And, as usual, Taylor strings their guitars with Elixirs. If you're looking for a solid guitar for under $1,000, I don't think you can beat a Taylor.

This guitar has it all, especially for the price. I don't know how they can sell it for such a low price.
