OVERVIEW

An affordable guitar with a solid spruce top, rosewood back and sides, and Taylor ES-T electronics.

The Taylor 210ce Rosewood/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar will change your expectations about what a serious entry-level instrument can embody. Featuring a solid Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, this dreadnought delivers the quality sound and feel you’d expect from a Taylor. Now available with Taylor’s Under-Saddle Transducer pickup, the 210ce has the classic look of a rosewood/spruce Dreadnought and is optimized for performance with cutaway access.

Indian Rosewood/Solid Sitka
The beauty of Indian rosewood is captured in the 200 Series. Rosewood backs and sides are paired with a solid Sitka spruce top, producing a full, rich tone with ample volume, resonance, and sustain.

Dreadnought (DN)
The Taylor Dreadnought is a focused guitar with plenty of presence, recently redesigned to be even more assertive. It’s the traditional choice for the traditional player; the model to drive with a heavy pick.

Taylor ES-T
Devloped by the same Taylor team that invented the Expression System pickup, the Taylor ES-T Under-Saddle Transducer takes piezo technology to another level. Optimized for the 100 and 200 Series, the system features onboard Bass, Treble, and Volume controls plus custom-voiced EQ and dynamic response.

Includes gig bag.

Wish I didn't spend the xtra on hardshell case, for the "gig bag" included is all I'll ever use. Guitar will rarely leave the house and the "gig bag" is not just a nylon bag but a real case (just soft).. Very happy!!!

I've looked at Martins, Taylors, Guilds, and others and finally decided on this Taylor due to the construction and sound. It is a really nice instrument. Love the action and sound that it produces. The Taylor ES-T controls are both simple and easy to use. Love it! And ordering from Musician's Friend was so easy and went without a hitch. Thanks!

Comments about Taylor 210ce Rosewood/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've owned and have played some high end Martins and none of them play as nicely as this 210ce. I really like the neck and the way that this plays over the 214ce. The rich and clear tones are awesome. Even though the music store where I purchased it threw in a beautiful Taylor hard shell case at no cost, I would have still purchased this guitar. Very HAPPY and very SATISFIED......

Comments about Taylor 210ce Rosewood/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Love the overall feel and sound. I learned how to play on a dreadnought so it feels right in my hands. I wanted to go with the 214ce but this one felt 100% perfect for me. Go with what feels right for you. We all play different.

The organic feel to it is cool. I love how theres no screen or tuner, Buy a GOOD tuner, tune it and put it away.

                  Still might buy the 214ce

Would have been 5 STARS if it was ALL SOLID WOOD

Comments about Taylor 210ce Rosewood/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar is priced at a mid range guitar and is every bit worth the money. The action is low but no fret noise, perfect.
The greatest quality of this gutar is the deep low end sound. It plays and sounds like a high end guitar. I would highly recomend. It comes with nano strings and a tan color good quality gig bag that says Taylor.
Buy it you will like it.
I play at church every sunday and small gigs.
It actually sounds better than a high end guitar that another person has in my church that I shared playing, which is alot more money. This is a great sounding and playing guitar.
I model my playing after Dave Matthews and David Crowder who both play Taylor's. Of course Dave has the 710 Taylor but I don't play in front of houndreds of thousands of people. Just around a hundred. I highly reccomend. I added a photo and it looks like theres a blemish, but its only the light reflecting on the edge. Taylor is the best.

Comments about Taylor 210ce Rosewood/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

It has plenty of treble and mids to stand out when finger picking but not at all thin sounding. It has plenty of bottom to support subharmonics on the 2B and 1E string and miced or amped a little it can thunder. The 210ce that I own is a very good guitar and I enjoy playing it.

Comments about Taylor 210ce Rosewood/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar is definitely not a one-trick pony. At the time of this review, I have had this guitar for a few months now and couldn't be more happy with it. It performs highly in any category that a guitarist could think of. The neck is unbelievably comfortable and the factory setup was spot on. I had bought an American made Breedlove and to be honest, it did not impress me, so I returned it. I ended up getting this amazing Taylor and will now be a Taylor guy for life. I personally don't believe that there is a better guitar out there in this price range. Even though this is one of Taylor's "lower-ended" series, the quality of sound, comfort, and build is not compromised in any way at all. I am not positive, but I believe that in the 300 series, the electronics are upgraded to their higher-ended pickups; but none the less this guitar still sounds superb when I am playing on one of my church's worship teams. Overall, this is one heck of a guitar that will not disappoint in any aspect. Beautiful satin finish on the neck, back and sides. The neck is not fat by any means, it is pleasantly slim compared to some other guitars and even other Taylor's that I have played, which for me, makes it a lot more comfortable to play. You can't go wrong by pulling the trigger on a guitar like this.

Very Impressive sound from this guitar when compared to the 214ce or 314ce

Comments about Taylor 210ce Rosewood/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

One thing I should mention about this guitar in closing - is that the bass strings have a particular stand-out qualty on this guitar. If you like finger picking a lot of tunes with rotating bass notes, you will not be let down by this one. It is just a treat to play, and I am now - overly confident is was the right one for me to get. It is just a fantastic guitar and I could not be more happy with the purchase.

stand out reasons to get this guitar

Amazing clarity - especially on the low end
Rosewood back and sides give the best warm tones -IMHO
Electronics work flawlessly with absolutely zero buzzing or excess feedback
The sound is crystaline and bright and the sustain and warmth cannot be beat

                      Happy Taylor guitar shopping.
This guitar model is often overlooked for the more popular Grand-Auditorium bodied guitars. I was no different the curvey looks of the smaller bodied GA style guitars was hard to turn down but I was having the hardest time deciding which Taylor to buy. I tried them all in the store and ended up bringing home the 210ce. After I made the purchased I was still lewered back to the curvier grand auditoirium models such as the 214ce and teh 314ce. I ended up returning the 210 for each one and trying them out over two different weekends. Both times I went back and got the 210ce. There's something about the tone of this guitar. I'm going to go ahead and say for the price-point this is THE guitar to get in the under a grand territory. This guitar has amazing presense, clarity, attack, and sustain. The notes are crystalized by the box leaving a pleasant bright sound that is perfect for passionate strumming and finger picking alike.

I really just could not justify keeping either of the grand auditorium models after hearing what their electronics sounded like hooked up with my gear. The 214 had poor dynamic response on the high end, and the 314 had an annoying hiss when hooked up to my computer. (blame the computer if you want, but the other models didn't do this). The electronics in this 210ce are simple but top-notch. I can turn the volume up up up almost all the way before getting any 'air' or even feedback in the guitar. It handles the volume levels perfectly on my setup which is awesome.
The quality of this guitar is top-notch. I would have liked to have affforded a better model perhaps with solid wood sides - but for the money the rosewood laminates are just great. They sound amazingly close to much more expensive models and the solid spruce top is really where most of the sound is coming from anyway. I considered the 310ce because it's American made and has solid mahogany sides and back, but honestly the laminate rosewood just sounds better than the solid mahogany - making it a steal for the money. This particular guitar had the action setup very low and easy to play. The fretboard seemed to let my hands glide across it better than either of the other models I had tried at home (the 214ce and the 314ce) Zero buzzing or any other issues with the tone on this guitar, it has amazing dynamic response and can be absolutely whaled on, rhythmic-ly strummed or finger picked all with amazing result.
I would place the value to cost ratio on this guitar as extremely good to excellent. You just cannot beat the price/quality ratio of the sprucetop and rosewood sides and back at this price point. The sound is just beyond what you would think is possible in this category of guitar. I'm a happy camper.
