Traditioanal-sized guitar with exotic tonewoods and top-of-the-line electronics.

Dreadnought lovers in search of a potent picking partner will likely find themselves drawn to the strong, clear sounds of Taylor's mahogany-top 300 Series 2015 320e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar. The sapele back and sides share many of mahogany's tonal and visual properties, and the mahogany top promises a strong, clear response to players with a driving attack, especially in the upper midrange. This special version also has Expression System 2 electronics for when you are pluged in.

The most traditional of guitar shapes, Bob Taylor has evolved the Taylor Dreadnought over time to honor its enduring sonic heritage yet also refine the look and sound into a more modern package. The Taylor Dreadnought still boasts that powerful dreadnought tone that old school pickers expect, with deep lows and crisp highs, but with a voice that, like every Taylor, is more evenly balanced across the entire tonal spectrum. Perhaps more than any other shape, the Dreadnought remains linked with roots music like bluegrass and folk, in part because of its traditional role in defining those sounds. Pickers and strummers with an aggressive attack will love Taylor's Dreadnought's blend of power and articulation, which allows for clear lead lines and crisp, driving rhythms.

An alternative tonewood that joined the Taylor fold over a decade ago. It's sometimes mistakenly referred to as African mahogany because it closely resembles the West African wood khaya, which is commercially known as African mahogany. Sapele is a highly sustainable, relatively fast-growing wood. Tonally, it does everything that mahogany does, with a little extra treble zing. Taylor will be able to offer it for a long, long time.

Expression System 2
The Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) is a revolutionary pickup design that delivers the latest in Taylor's ongoing innovation in acoustic guitar amplification. The heart of the Expression System 2 is Taylor's proprietary behind-the-saddle pickup (patent pending), which features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. The location of the sensors enables a more dynamic range of acoustic sound to be captured than ever before. Together with Taylor's custom-designed "professional audio"-grade preamp, this system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness. On stage through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or direct into recording software, the Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of your Taylor guitar.

Comments about Taylor 300 Series 2015 320e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Let me first say this guitar is a very nice guitar and is of good quality construction and materials. My disappointment was that the guitar looks nothing like the pictured guitar, not even close. The picture illustrates a grainy look something like a Martin D15M but a lighter color, hence no stain. That was the appeal that led me to purchase this guitar on sale. I have a Martin D15M and that is the other reason I bought this guitar, because of the amazing sound and the mahogany top has become the guitar I play most in public. The Taylor is a nice guitar, but before you purchase, I recommend you look on YouTube at this guitar, there is a side by side comparison and that will give you the appearance of the 320e. I'm sorry but the guitar pictured is very enticing and the guitar you get is not even close resemblance to the picture. The guitar I received also had only a couple but did have some strum scratches on the pick guard. There was no plastic covering on that either. A nice case comes with the guitar. If you are comparing or trying to decide, I recommend the Martin D15M. This is my first all wood Taylor. I will probably keep but sharing this information because this is a large chunk of money and Taylor needs to represent the correct instrument in their images. If I had read this review I'm writing, I would have kept my money. If you look at the image I posted, you will see it looks nothing like the image and has a more sapele look.

Comments about Taylor 300 Series 2015 320e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

The deep sound that this guitar projects is amazing! Just be prepared to make adjustments on your amplification rig. The sound is so unique that switching between guitars requires sound system adjustment, but trust me... it IS WORTH IT!
