A finely-made performance guitar with a solid spruce top, sapele back and sides, and Taylor Expression System electronics.
The all-solid Taylor experience continues with the updated 2012 310ce Sapele/Spruce Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar. Crisp, black binding flanks the satin-finish sapele back and sides and glossy Sitka spruce top, and then continues up the fretboard. The 300 Series is truly the performer’s workhorse, combining technology and craftsmanship with understated style. A Venetian cutaway adds dimension to classic Dreadnought styling, while the tone of Sapele is faithfully amplified via the Taylor Expression System.
Sapele/Sitka
The warm tone and open midrange of sapele balances the bright and snappy characteristics of a Sitka spruce top. The resulting combination provides the perfect guitar for strong, rhythmic playing styles.
Dreadnought
A traditional shape refined, we combine classic dreadnought volume and bass response with the definitive Taylor sound: clear trebles and an open, airy midrange that Bob Taylor's signature design accentuates. Dreadnoughts respond especially well to flatpicking or light-to-heavy strumming.

I so love this guitar. It's a very beautiful guitar at first glance. When I played it, it wasn't as full as I thought it would be. It's actually pretty quiet. I think it's nice for fingerpicking though. It's really good for just mellowing out. Very good product!

For a long time I was anti-Taylor. I always thaught they were far too bright sounding and sometimes verged on tinny sounding. But after playing the 310ce, I was converted. The bass really sings on these guitar, unlike some of the other taylors that are made.
The best part of Taylor guitars though is the pickup system. I played a couple guilds and martins acoustic and they matched up very well with the taylors. But when pluged in, there is really no comparison, Taylor is just supreme when it comes to plugging in your guitar.

this guitars lows chime like a pianos bass strings , all the way up to the highs very articulit with a pluck of the pick
If your are a heavy strummer this is the guitar for you. strum it right out of the box you be blown away
from the lows to the highs you can hear the wood sing out to you
worth every penny
