Commanding presence with elegant styling and the subtle presence of solid wood.

The Taylor 315CE Jumbo Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar's solid Sitka spruce top produces plenty of punch with bold, open midrange. Thank the tonewoods: a solid sapele back and sides.

Ideally suited for aggressive strumming, the jumbo Taylor 315CE is crafted with a high-fret cutaway, a beautiful ebony fretboard and a distinctive bridge. A mahogany neck, Indian rosewood headstock veneer, black plastic binding, and chromeplated Taylor tuners add additional eye appeal.

Rupert Neve-designed the 315CE guitar's Taylor Expression System electronics with Dynamic Sensors and tone controls that capture vibrations from the guitar's top and strings as never before. The Taylor finish on the jumbo 315CE guitar's textured satin back and sides and its lustrous gloss top were developed for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. Taylor's ultraviolet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.

I purchased this Taylor because I wanted an acoustic-electric with the Expression system and a Jumbo sound. I think it's a fine guitar with very warm treble, but I find it lacking on the basses. I am also a bit disappointed in the high e-string which seems to find it's way off of the fretboard at times when I'm not wanting it to. This guitar lives up to the Taylor reputation when plugged in and the fretboard is very comfortable to play. I remain unconvinced that Taylor is a better guitar than Martin, even after reading one review after another claiming it to be so. I have a Martin D-15 that is every bit as playable as this Jumbo Taylor and sounds better. All that noted, I am still quite happy with my purchase..... and again, Musicians Friend came through very nicely in getting my new Taylor to me on time and in great shape.

I've had this guitar for a lil over a year. And just like my other taylors it's solid. the jumbo sound ...well there's nothing like it. No wills and thrills just a working mans guitar. I'm an acoustic solo kinda guy host a lot of open mics and gig's 2-4 times a week and any guitar would take some kinda beating from all that but not this one, still solid. I tell ppl all the time about taylors and they always give me " well martin or gibsons are the way to go" I never like eather of them I'm a taylor guy if you havn't OWNED one you'll never know how good you could really be.  I KNOW my taylor has made me a better Guitarist.

I am not a professional guitarist by any means, but I have played some good Taylor guitars, and am very impressed by their tone, action, and overall style. I like the way they play, and the sound awesome unplugged as well as amp'd. Ovation still beats Taylor out plugged in in my opinion, but Taylors are unmatched unplugged. This guitar is so loud unplugged, you will hardly need an amp!

Full range tone, stable neck and body, holds pitch without trouble. No frills working mans guitar that will be a keeper for the rest of your life. Mine has been set up by a pro and it plays and sounds as full as my 814ce. I bought it as a beater to use it in place of my "golden guitars" because people must always touch your gear. Now I protect it like it cost me three times the amount I paid. Its that good. Feedback control with the e.s. system blows the old Fishman pre-amps out of the water. Buy one and never look back.

When I was beginning my search of a guitar I was sure that a Martin would be the way that I would go, then I searched in the area of Jumbo Taylor.  It has the lows of a Martin with the gorgeous highs of the Taylor, that we have all come to know and love.  This is the best buy that I could afford.  The 615 and 815 are just to high in price.  This is a practical and wonderful guitar.
