Taylor

A lyrical, seductive, and airy voice to accompany your vocal stylings.

With a more intimate, comfortable body style than most 12-strings, it features flawless Taylor craftsmanship with all solid woods--Sitka spruce on top and Sapele on the back and sides for mellow warmth. Ebony fretboard and bridge, black wood binding, and chromeplated Taylor tuners. Rupert Neve-designed Expression System electronics with Dynamic Sensors and tone controls provide fantastic reproduction of the genuine wood tone. The finish used to create this guitar's textured satin back and
sides and lustrous gloss top was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultraviolet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.

I have owned this model for one year now, used primarily for worship.  I was worried the shape, size would not ring out strong enough. I was wrong. The 354ce is a perfect size, comfortable and through the PA system, it gives a warm full crisp ring just as you would hope 12 string would w/o being too overdone.  I own 4 Taylor's now.  I've tried the Martin, Gibson, Epiphone, Alvarez. Taylor necks are smooth as butter, have a beautiful tone to them, and with the variety of woods and combo of woods that are offered, I have not been disappointed.  For Johnny below who hates Taylor's, I'd say he's a diehard Martin Man. Nothing wrong with that!  That's the beauty of having choices.  I'm a Taylor fan, though, I've enjoyed playing Martin's and Gibson.  What sold me was the smoothness of the necks, the tone and the ES system the Taylors.  Either plugged in or just play acoustic, this 354ce like other Taylor are super guitars.  Just wished they were not so pricey.

I own this 12 string and love it's sound and playability.  Plugged in or unplugged it sounds great.  I own a Martin D1 and a Martin D35 and play all my guitars all the time.  The onboard electronics on this 12 string are simple and easy to use and access.  Once tuned it stays in tune all night.  This is a good 12 string and a super value.

Taylor once again is the creme de la creme of guitars! I own a Marting, Breedlove, Guild, and 3 Taylors. Everything but the Taylors are collecting dust! Taylor once again proves that it truly is the Jaguar of guitars, sophisticated, beautiful, reliable, and top of the line!

12 String Projection

This 12 string is the best I've ever played. I own (6) 12 strings and this one is the best. It plays very easily, with low action, and it doesn't fret-out. It sounds great both naturally and plugged in. You might think with a cutaway the volume of the guitar would be lacking or less. But, you would be wrong. This guitar is loud unplugged and really projects the sound. It's just a super playing, sounding, guitar.

I'll try to keep this as brief as I can. I have played every model 12 string guitar that Taylor makes and I think they are the most over-priced and over-rated guitars on the market. I refer to them as guitars "born without a soul". They cannot hold a candle to the oldest guys on the block, The C.F. Martin Company. Every Taylor I have picked up I felt I was picking up a piece of balsa wood. The necks: the only word I have for them are inconvenient/uncomfortable and the sound incredibly weak without amplification. I felt like I was beating the guitar up rather than playing it to get any sound out of it. Do yourself a big favor and look at the Martin line first.
