Expression System electronics with tone controls capture top and string vibration perfectly. White wood binding and stable chromeplated Taylor tuners provide brilliant visual highlights to the 410-CE.

I'm now in my 50's, bought my first guitar in '73. I love this guitar. I've had it now for 12 years and it get played pretty much a few days a week, every week. It's got great tone, action, sounds great plugged or unplugged. When I was shopping, I knew I was shopping for THE high end guitar I was going to keep for a long time. ITo me, this particular 410ce had the best tonal balance and overall tone in my price range. In fact, I was prepared to spend another grand but this guitar sounded better than the more expensive ones. I know it sounds cliche but you have to listen with your ears, not your eyes.
People rarely list the features in the features area. I bought mine new in 99. Solid Ovangal back and sides. Solid spruce top (mine has some bearclaw) white binding on top and back. 14 frets clear on a mahogany neck with bound ebony fretbrd, 20 frets total. Grover tuners. Ebony bridge with ebony pins. Being a '99 model, mine has the old Fishman electronics which still sound very good. Gloss top, satin everything else. I'll give it a 9 as there are higher end pickup systems and no excessive bling (I'm good with that). It's got everything I need, especially beautiful tone!
First rate. Is there anybody mass producing guitars that are of better quality in materials used, fit and finish, gorgeous sound and appearance. I doubt it. For a mass produced guitar, the quality, fit and finish, as well as great action and playability, is as close as hand built as they come.
These guitars are not cheap. If you just need a guitar to bang around, there are better deals... If your looking for a solid wood instrument with beautiful, complex tone and overtones, top rate materials and build quality and fantastic playability, you have to pay for that. All that said, I wish they were, and I think they could be, less expensive.

I really do like the sound of this guitar unplugged. Although, it's nothign spectacular. I see these old fogies with old guitars and they blow this thing out of the water. The Expressions system is the most UNnatural sounding pickup system I've ever heard. It takes the natural sound and makes it sound like some sort of electric hollowbody guitar with a mediocre piezo, very electronic sounding. I bought a new Marshall acoustic amp, and this thing still sounds aweful. And it's not jsut this one. I had three of these guitars before I found one that didn't have problems and that I didn't have to send back. In short, buy a Martin with a traditional pickup...NO MATTER what the hype about the Taylor expression system says.

My name is Shane and I lead worship at my church. I've owned my Taylor 410 ce for 4 1/2 yrs now. I bought it from Musicians Friend, when i got tired of useing cheap junk guitars. After the last four years i'm just as happy with this smooth sounding beauty as I was the first day it came in the mail. If you want quality and great sound the 410ce is for you! Ive never had a problem with this guitar, NEVER! I did get a technician to set it up for me to only enhance it, buy it!

This thing is the best playing and sounding acoustic i've ever had the opportunity to play. The ovangkol back and sides on this thing are gorgeous and sound great. The tone is a great combination of Rosewood and Mahogany.

    Awesome Gift

Comments about Taylor 410-CE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2011 Model):

I got my Taylor 410ce about a month ago, and I LOVE it. The guitar player at my church had an 814ce and this one and I told him when he wanted to get rid of one of them to let me know. Long story short, when I was leaving, he walked up to me with a case and said this is for you. It blew my mind, I thought he was kidding. I give all the glory to God! This guitar sounds amazing plugged or unplugged.I went to an open mic last night and got to truly try out the ES system' and it is awesome! It cuts through the whole mix. I've always been a Gibson acoustic fan, but after playing this, I'm a Taylor fan for life. If you have about 2 grand to spend on a guitar, buy this one. You won't be disappointed.

    amazing guitar

    By Josh Atkins

Comments about Taylor 410-CE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2011 Model):

I bought this guitar USED from a friend who played many gigs with this beauty and I love it. The first time I played it i was amazed with the natural tone of the guitar. The playability is great, tuners are great and everything works fine. I don't use the pickup inside but it sounds beautiful unplugged and simply stunning in front of a good condenser mic. I couldn't think of a better guitar for the money, and to this day haven't played another that can match up to it. If you are serious about acoustic guitars and getting the right tone, this is definitely the guitar for you.

I bought this guitar from a friend who had used this guitar to perform for his church on a weekly basis. When I first played it, it was instantly love at first sight. This is truly a beautifully crafted guitar with an amazing sound. I use it frequently for recording and this baby really sings. I recommend it to anyone who is serious about buying a real acoustic guitar. This is definitely one for the pros, and though its a bit pricy, its worth every penny, without a doubt. The nicest acoustic guitar I've ever played.

Comments about Taylor 410-CE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2011 Model):

My taylor 410ce is a great guitar, I have had it now about 10 years, it has great sound, a sound all its own, mine has a very thin neck, don't know if all 410 have that but mine does, so when you pick it up for the first time, you can really feel the difference, the fret board is very smooth, and adds to that great taylor feel.

I just bought this after playing over 50 different models at 5 music stores throughout California. This guitar has crisp clean trebles and mids with warm bright bass thrown in. The electric system is wonderful at loud volumes as well as quiet jams. Beautiful craftsmanship. I Love this guitar!
