With the bright, pure tone of Engelmann spruce and the beauty and projection of rosewood.
The 710CE Limited Edition Madagascar Rosewood Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar combines the full-bodied sound of Madagascar rosewood with the rich responsiveness of an Engelmann spruce top for an instrument that is beautiful and powerful. The Taylor Dreadnought body style generates a tone that is focused with a lot of presence and designed to be assertive. This guitar is ideal for strumming or flatpicking. A Venetian cutaway gives you access to the entire 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Other features include an American mahogany neck, forward shifted bracing , ebony bridge, and a Tusq nut and saddle. Adornments include gold tuners, abalone rosette, and rosewood headstock overlays, binding and heel cap.
Using proprietary pickup technology developed at Taylor, the onboard Expression System incorporates three different magnetic sensors. Two strategically placed Dynamic Body Sensors affixed to the underside of the soundboard capture the complex nuances of the top's vibration, while a Dynamic String Sensor mounted beneath the fretboard extension registers string and neck vibration. The preamp boosts the pickup signal cleanly, without the need for artificial EQ "coloration." The balanced, low-impedance signal the Expression System produces can run direct into a mixer or PA in most situations, and is free of distortion at almost any volume. Three simple, unobtrusive onboard control knobs preserve the aesthetic beauty of your Taylor, yet allow you to easily adjust the volume, bass, and treble to suit your personal preferences and performance environment. This easy-to-use system enables all of the expressive subtleties of your playing to come through, just the way you intended.
The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultraviolet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes. Includes Taylor hardshell case.
