The ultimate in responsiveness without sacrificing tone.
Combining the full-bodied sound of Hawaiian koa with the responsiveness of a Western Red cedar top creates this fingerstyle workhorse. Equipped with the Taylor Expression System and a Venetian cutaway, the 714CE-LTD Grand Auditorium acoustic electric guitar shines in any venue.
Taylor's grand auditorium body design combines the width and depth of a dreadnought with a narrower waist. Its sleek design yields a strong treble zing across the tonal spectrum and sharpens the definition of individual notes. The Taylor Grand Auditorium is a strong fingerpicking guitar that also adapts well to medium strumming.
The abalone soundhole rosette and Indian rosewood binding and headstock overlay are natural accents to the Taylor 714-CE.
Designed to faithfully reproduce your acoustic guitar's native tone, the Expression System utilizes patented Dynamic Sensors to capture top and string vibration like never before. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer, Rupert Neve, the Taylor ES is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or can be set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound.
A limited number of the 714CE-LTD guitars will be available.

First of i gave it 4.5's because no guitar is perfect, but this is the closest ive played. This was one of those guitar where I played it and I simply had to have it. The koa back and sides are purely gorgeous and very bright sounding, perhaps even brighter than mohagony, thought the red cedar top darkens the sound a bit, and the grand auditorium shape gives you great bass respondse. Over all thats an amazing combintation in my eyes. On top of that it is hands down the best acoustic I have ever played. The expressions system is awesome to, if you into recording you can lair tracks with the pickups or just mic it and itll sound beautiful. Ans yes this guitar is expensive, but well worth it.
Don't own it but dream to own it. The perfect acoustic guitar with a warm yet fulfilling sound. Great quality body. Smooth to play with a perfect fingerboard easy for any size hand (I have small hands). Naturally amplifies acoustics perfectly. Hook up to an amp and the sound is just as amazing. I promise you'll love it the moment you lay your fingers on it and you get an earful of what it delivers.
After playing dozens of guitars for more than a year, I still had not picked up ANY guitar that really felt perfect. The taylor road show came to town and I played multiple $2-3-4-5000 guitars and stopped the second I touched this one. It played so smooth and had such a warm sweet sound that I was married immediately. The guitar has a 'volume ceiling' that really cannot be surpassed, but not EVERY guitar was meant to fill ear drums 100%. The sweet warm smooth playing makes up for any volume loss, and plugged into a system... it sounds GREAT!!! No more volume issues obviously! don't get me wrong, this is NOT a quiet guitar! My father plays bluegrass and fits his needs. its a pretty penny, but its a PRETTY GUITAR!!! Worth every dime!
