Comments about Taylor Solidbody Classic SC Electric Guitar:
In my opinion there is no better electric guitar for the money.
Just finished tweaking my rig to accomodate my new taylor Classic Solidbody 3/4 size humbuckers.
I have been playing for 40 years (since I was 9) professionally since 1982. I've played Les Pauls, U.S.A. Strats, U.S,A, Jackson's, USA Charvels, Kramers, Teles, Schecter, ESP, etc... I certainly don't know everything but I do know real quality when I pick it up and play it. Traveling to see family I finally found a dealr with several in stock. I demo'ed the classic and standard up against about 30 high end guitars & for me it wasn't even close. Taylor has really done an outstanding job of "building a better mousetrap". Not just another "botique" guitar. Real innovation from the originally designed bridge (clamps internally to body to get incredible sustain & use of the wood in the tone. The pick-ups with Neodynium pole pieces that jsy snap in place (so you can change out in about 15 min w no soldering) if you want.
Fantastic fit & finish right out of the box. taylor well known for consistent quality. No surprise these are ready to go outta the box. Quality reeks from this guitar, great attention to detail in every respect.
Perfect neck & fret dressing, perfect action & intonation, Neck is fast & ever so slightly wider than most speed necks. great organic feel. There is something about the overtones this guitar produces that are just more musical than any others I've demo'd. Great playability, incredible warm tone.
Fantastic value for the $$$. These aren't cheap but compared to other "big name" high enders, again it wasn't even close. I'm lookin for one w a tremolo now. (first one I bought was hardtail).
Comments about Taylor Solidbody Classic SC Electric Guitar:
Bought this guitar as a Christmas gift to myself and was glad I did. I've owned a Strat and was interested in the Classic SC. This has a better sound quality that my '74 Strat did. The tone knobs actually affect the sound differently than my Strat. The feel of the neck took a little getting use to but after awhile it was great. The bridge is great and the guitar stays in tune even with a lot of bends. This is by far the best guitar for the money out on the market today. Hopefully, my next guitar will be the T3. I have a T5 and would like the T3 to compliment it. From now on it's all Taylor guitars for me!
Comments about Taylor Solidbody Classic SC Electric Guitar:
I recently purchased this guitar from a local music store after selling off some other gear. I'm hesitiant to play any instrument really hard if it's not mine...so that said; when I got it home and pluged into my VOX TV/4, I was really disapionted to hear all the fret buzz! I do my own set ups so I added some relief to the neck, put on new strings and raised the action via bridge. Buzzing is still there, VERY UNHAPPY. I think it's a popped fret but then again it could be my sloppy playing, (my other ax is a MIM Strat) so compared to that This guitar stinks! The neck is really wide and the frets are too tall. On the good side...this is a very comfortable guitar, either hanging from a strap or sitting, the 3 single coil p-ups sound awesome and it's really pretty to look at! But I'm really bummed out that it's not a player. BUYER BEWARE...you cannot play aggressively without the fret noise, it even buzzes with flatwounds on it and the action is jacked to moon! I am going to see if the place where I purchased it will return it, or at least check out the buzz complaint. I give this guitar an A+ for looks, comfort and p-up sounds, Cause it does sound great! I give it an F for the wide neck, and tall frets. NOTE to Bob Taylor: If your gonna build a rock 'n roll guitar...put a rock 'n roll neck on it. VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS PURCHACE, Should have saved some dough and gone with a MIM Tele.
Comments about Taylor Solidbody Classic SC Electric Guitar:
Just as the Stratocaster and Les Paul set the standard for what a great guitar should be in the 20th century Taylor has set a new standard for the 21st century. This guitar has it all and more. If you want vintage sounds it can do it. But it's not a Strat or LP "wanna be" it breaks new ground in sound. Taylor's noiseless single coil pickups simply must be heard to be appreciated. I run it through a Vox AC30VR and all I can say is sweeeet. The quality of this instrument is superb. The neck is fast and very comfortable (less hand fatigue). Balance is fantastic. In fact, it rests so easy in your arms you'll find it hard to put down.In short, it might take some time to catch on (us guitarists are brand loyal to a fault) but if given a chance I believe the unique sound capabilities of this guitar will win out.TRY IT!
Comments about Taylor Solidbody Classic SC Electric Guitar:
I have been playing over 40 years and own, and have played every ax imaginable. The Taylor Classic SC is an incredible guitar for the $. Neck is smooth and straight. Versatile five way switch and tone control offer a completely different sound than my Vintage Strat ( which is great for recording adding more flexibility ).Stays in tune. Bridge is obviously different and takes a little longer to adjust either height or intonation. That was the reason i gave it a 4.0 on feature.Bridge non the less is very well made. 15" Radius neck is sweet man !No regrets on this purchase.

I cannot wait to get this guitar!!!! I demoed one from my local shop and it sounds incredible. The other guitarist in my band has a custom shop tele with noiseless and this sing sounds just like it. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Comments about Taylor Solidbody Classic SC Electric Guitar:
The best of two worlds: bright sound (both twang and chime) and the warmth of a short scale neck. Taylor really thought this one out. Low radius fingerboard makes for excellent playaability. Clarion, noiseless single coil pickups. It is remarkable on instruments like "Sleepwalk" and "Harlem Nocturne."I am a guitar snob. I am playing my Taylor through a Victoria amp often using a Fulltone Tape Tube Echo. This guitar is a roots music thoroughbred.Try it. In addition to its upside, it is well priced and beautifally built. Buy it before they find out it is a bargin.
