Quite possibly the warmest Taylor ever made.
For those unfamiliar with a 12-fret guitar, the "12" refers to the number of frets from the nut to the edge of the guitar body. The design traces back to the period that preceded steel-string acoustics. As steel-string players craved access to higher notes on the fretboard, the 12-fret design gave way to the 14-fret, although classical guitars have in many cases carried on the 12-fret tradition (Taylor's nylon-string Grand Concert guitars feature a 12-fret design). The vintage 12-fret design also enjoyed a renaissance among steel-string players as acoustic fingerstyle enjoyed a resurgence in the 1980s.
Although this 12-fret model incorporates a Grand Concert body and standard GC bracing, the Taylor XXXV-TF acoustic-electric guitar sounds dramatically different from Taylor's GC. One reason is the reorientation of the neck, body and bridge in relation to each other (the bridge, for one, is shifted farther back on the lower bout). The change in the Taylor guitar's body geometry translates into a unique, modern-vintage tonal flavor.
The 12-fret Taylor XXXV-TF guitar features gorgeous AA-grade Hawaiian koa for the back and sides, an Engelmann spruce top, a slotted peghead with a koa backstrap, green heart abalone rosette and trim on the top and back, a bone nut and saddle, and the ES pickup.
Taylor proudly celebrates 35 years of guitar-making with its most eclectic and exotic collection of limited editions ever. The Taylor XXXV-TF acoustic-electric guitar and all other 35th anniversary models feature a commemorative "35" fretboard inlay, come with a custom label, and include a certificate of authenticity.

used this on hundreds of recordings on radio, films and tv shows. every session player in my studio that plays it wants to buy it. they all say, if you ever sell it, sell it to me. yes, it's that good. bob taylor told me at the namm show (mine was the one they built for the show) that it was the warmest taylor he's ever made.
