Incredible ESP vibe in a Traveler Guitar.
Guitar making pioneers ESP and Traveler Guitar have formed an unprecedented partnership in order to bring you The Traveler Guitar LTD EC-1, a full 24 ¾-inch scale electric travel guitar based on LTD’s best-selling EC series. With slick, LTD-inspired appointments and Traveler Guitar’s innovative engineering, this guitar is the perfect travel companion for ESP players.
The ESP-designed ALH-200B active humbucker provides powerful drive and articulate tone, while the visual appointments offer tons of vibe. The Traveler Guitar LTD EC-1 has a carved arch-top Mahogany body, locking tuning machines, black anodized hardware, a beveled neck/ heel for easy access to high frets, an adjustable tune-o-matic style bridge, 6-ply binding, a bound neck, and LTD-style fingerboard inlays.
Traveler’s proprietary In-Body Tuning System uses standard tuning machines relocated into the body, eliminating the need for a headstock. As a result, you’ll have the same full-scale playing experience you’re used to on an instrument that’s 24% shorter and 29% percent lighter than a comparable full-sized guitar.
The Traveler Guitar V2 headphone amplifier is built in, allowing you to shred at full volume without waking the neighbors. Cycle through clean, boost, overdrive and distortion tones using the custom tap-pot and listen through headphones or plug into your favorite amp. The guitar is also equipped with an aux-in so you can connect your mobile device and play along with your favorite tracks.
The Traveler Guitar LTD EC-1 is the perfect solution for traveling players looking for a modern, high-gain guitar that’s compact and comfortable. Fits easily in airline overhead compartments in the included Deluxe Gig Bag.

Comments about Traveler Guitar EC-1 Limited Edition Travel Electric Guitar:
I am just starting to learn the art of guitar playing. I have found that an experienced player makes this guitar sound a lot better than it sounds in my hands. I originally bought a 3/4 acoustic to take with me on trips, but it's still too big and the fret board is condensed. The "Traveler Guitar" series is PERFECT for traveling with. Full scale fret board in a very compact size. It's about the size of an ukulele only more versatile sounds. The EC-1 seems to be the Cadillac of the Traveler Guitar brand. Quality parts put together with quality workmanship. All very nice. You can plug computer speakers into the headphones jack and you have a poor man's amp. The AUX-IN jack makes it easy to jam (or in my case, attempt to jam) with your favorite bands. And the four gain settings make it easy to customize the sound output to your liking. I love this guitar.
The less-than-great part of this guitar is the tuning. There's really not a great place for my clip-on tuner. As an amateur guitarist, I can't tune by ear so I depend on my digital tuner. I can kinda clip it onto the head-cap (the stump where the headstock usually is) and kinda get it into tune. I tried clipping it onto the edge of the bridge, but then it's kinda in the way. Once I have it so the clip-on says it's in tune, I go through the process of ear-tuning just for practice. I kinda expect the fifth fret low E to sound like the open A and the fifth A to sound like the open D, etc. They don't. My untrained ear says the fretted note is flat and the clip-on tuner says it's sharp. Either way, it's off. I plan to take it by the guitar shop to see if I'm doing something wrong, but for now, the tuning has been a bit of a wart on an otherwise very awesome travel guitar.
Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend the EC-1 for anyone looking for a very versatile electric guitar.
