A travel guitar with vintage looks and modern comfort.
The Traveler Guitar EG-2 is a full 25 ½-scale electric guitar featuring a compact traditional double-cutaway body shape and classic 3-ply pick guard, which provide vintage looks and modern comfort to the traveling guitarist. At just 29 ½ long, the EG-2 stows easily in airline overhead compartments and weighs less than 5 pounds.
Two precision-placed single-coil pickups feed into the EG-2s built-in Pocket Rock-it headphone amplifier, which is custom-designed to produce classic clean and distortion sounds through headphones or when plugged into an amplifier. Players can also go passive into their amp of choice. The EG-2s onboard electronics include a 1/8 AUX IN jack so players can jam with tracks from an external device such as an mp3 or CD player. Additional controls include Tone & Volume knobs and a 3-way pickup selector.
The Traveler Guitar EG-2 also boasts more traditional guitar features such as an alder body, American Hard Maple neck, ebonized rosewood fretboard, standard strap pins and a fully adjustable truss rod. Includes Deluxe Gig Bag, 9V battery and comes standard with DAddario EXL-110 strings.

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-2 Travel Electric Guitar:
I bought one of these because I wanted something I could travel with and keep out an accessible around the house for quick practicing. The one I found was a floor model of the older white colored EG-2 that I got for half the price of retail, which was pretty much the reason I pulled the trigger on it.
It really has blown me away. I didn't expect this to be that great playing of an instrument, or to have that great of pickups; for what it is and the price I just thought it'd be a decent guitar I could beat up and take on airplanes. However, it really is higher quality than I anticipated. The build is just about flawless: no issues with the finish or wood, frets sit well and end smoothly down the neck, neck feels great in your hands, and the pickups sound very good for what this is. I actually enjoyed playing this so much I took it to band practice with me once because I didn't want to lug my hard shell full-size case around, and my bandmates couldn't believe the sound I was getting out of it. It easily rivals mid to lower-end guitars and with a good amp you could seriously get by at a gig with this or jam with a full band on the road if you wanted. They made this to be good enough quality that it doesn't have to just be a travel and practice tool. (I wouldn't buy it FOR those purposes, but you'd have the option).
I also was surprised at how it felt when I was playing it. I expected to have to adjust a bit to the tiny body and learn to play differently on it. I really haven't had to at all, both when sitting down and when using a strap. When sitting down, I just tilt it up a bit more than maybe a full size, but that's really about it. The wider body on this model (than some other models) does sit nicely under the arm. I was able to pick it up first time and go.
The pocket rocket is a nice touch. Allows you to need nothing else for a quiet practice. The tones are ok. Not going to get any variety out of what it offers and definitely not replacing any digital pedals or modeling programs, but still a nice touch for practicing.
Only negative was it had a horrible setup when I got it. Again, mine was "used" (not pre-owned but an old floor model) and I don't think anyone was trying to take great care of it. But, the truss rod is super accessible, it came with a great wrench for it, and the bridge allows you to easily use a screw to adjust the height. So, after a new string change, some adjustments with some measuring tools, and a little lemon oil, it was playing extremely well.
Size wise, it's definitely smaller han parlor or 3/4 size travel guitars that I've seen. If you're worried about fitting your travel guitar on a plane or taking up space somewhere, look to this instead of those. This was made for that purpose, comes with a solid gig bag that can take a beating, and is indeed a very small profile.
If you can't tell, I really like this thing. I've had it out lying around since I bought it to just jam on the fly and have played it a lot. I haven't traveled with it yet, so we'll see if airlines give me any problems, but I don't expect they will having seen it. I don't know if I would pay full price for one, however. Seems like a lot of money for a travel guitar that shouldn't really be your backup guitar if that makes sense. I can see why it costs what it does as it really is good quality, and am happy to have a travel guitar that doesn't feel and play like junk, but that price makes me think twice. If you have the money and aren't concerned, definitely pull the trigger. Otherwise, look for a used one or floor model.
