Comments about Traveler Guitar Left-Handed Speedster Travel Electric Guitar:
This is a very "player-centric" guitar- It feels right, and it plays right. The bolt on "Horn" gives it the proper balance and feel like a Strat type guitar, which is really important- BALANCE in a travel guitar is usually the thing that is overlooked and makes the overall experience less than desirable. This one addresses that issue, making for a playing experience that is sleek and fast, sort of like an Ibanez neck, to be honest. It's metallic Dark Red color is really pretty. The weak point of this model is the pick up, it is a little thin, but it works. I am contemplating outfitting this guitar with a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails mini humbucker, which is made in a traditional single coil shape, that would fit the cavity without routing or other modifications required. That would make this a completely professional tour grade guitar. Other than the pickup being a little underpowered, it is an excellent little guitar. I have stowed it in the overhead bins on planes at least 2 dozen times, and have never had an issue finding space, it is ingeniously small and light, and when I arrive at my destination, it is usually still IN TUNE! I carry earbud type headphones and a little headphone amp in the generous storage pocket, along with the "Horn" which the pocket is designed for. This is really a sweet setup for anyone constantly in a plane or on the road.
