OVERVIEW

An all-mahogany body adds beauty and warm, rich tone.

No plain Jane here! The mahogany top, back, and sides on this Washburn acoustic are complemented with a stunning inlaid wood rosette and backstrip that make this guitar look like it should be twice the price! The great finish is offset by a multilaminated top binding and single-strip back and neck binding. A trademark of the Washburn brand is the flatter neck, which makes it easier to play, especially if this is your first acoustic. Finished with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, die-cast tuners, and pearloid dot fingerboard inlays, this is a guitar you will be proud to own. If you are an experienced player this makes a great second guitar for travel. As with all Washburn guitars, it comes with a limited LIFETIME WARRANTY. I've been singing and/or playing for 30+ years. I received the guitar yesterday, took it out of the box last night at 8pm, tuned it, and was going to play for about an hour. When I looked up at the clock it was 11pm and time to call it a night. Need I say more? I own another Washburn D series guitar that cost much more than this one, and quite frankly, this guitar holds its own. This is a very nice instrument for the money, buy it. The stock strings actually sounded good, no buzz, that was a nice surprise. I usually don't bother with them and change them right away. As a matter of fact, I bought a couple of sets of Martins with the instrument, but I think I'll just put them in reserve for now. I was very impressed with the sound the instrument produces, very full, clear crisp highs, full warm lows. This type of sound is what you expect from a much more expensive guitar.
I bought this guitar to play, and leave at Church for others to play. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an instrument that is going to be used, and likely banged up a bit, but I wanted some quality for beginners (mostly kids) so they wouldn't get discouraged trying to learn to learn on a guitar that has no playability. This guitar will be perfect for that. Nice job as usual Washburn!
Consistant with other Washburn D Series Guitars. I especially like the flatter than most fret board, and the lower positioning of the strings as it relates to playability.
Very good quality material, fit and finish for an instrument in this price range. The instrument is very appealing to the eye, and the sound is right with crisp clear highs, and warm full lows, consistent with other more expensive Washburn D Series guitars that I own.
Great price for an instrument of this quality. It could be sold for much more, but we've come to expect this kind of value.

As others have mentioned, pretty to look at. A little frustrated by the quality of the tuning machines and the overall buzz I get from the sound. One of the tuning machines broke and I ended up replacing the whole bunch of them with Grovers. Stays in tune a whole lot better with the Grovers. I still have not been able to pinpoint the buzz.

AMAZING

Comments about Washburn D100DL Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar is amazing. I thought it was gonna be another beat around guitar and it is, just a really really goooooood beat around guitar. It's better than my non-beat around guitar! Looks amazing, sounds even better! Delivered EXTREMELY fast and strings aren't too high. Only drawback i can think of is that it only has one tuner at the end of the guitar, but other than that. . best guitar i own!!

Comments about Washburn D100DL Acoustic Guitar:

I got mine in yesterday, I picked the standard shipping. It shipped Monday, and arrived on Wednesday, way earlier than I expected. It's an awesome guitar, especially for for the price. It seems to stay in tune pretty well also. The finish is a little darker than the picture, but that's not a bad thing or anything, I think it looks way better in person than in the pictures.

GREAT INVESTMENT! Needs to get used too...

By WildcatVince

Comments about Washburn D100DL Acoustic Guitar:

First off, let me say this is the first acoustic I have owned with the exception of an off-brand nylon string that i hooked up with some phosphor bronze d'adddario. When I got this in the wine red finish, i was ASTONISHED at how dark the color was. NOTHING like the pictures, but still AWESOME! The only fix I had to make was that one of the screws on the D string tuner was a little loose. That's the only reason why this guitar gets a 4.5 in quality. otherwise quality is perfect. The reason I gave Features a 4.0 is that the strings are a little too close to the fretboard for my taste. The other reason for the 4.0 is the stock strings may be Vinco (my name's vince so i laughed at that) and they may be made in U.S.A., but they sound VERY grainy and like all guitars, you need to get rid of the stock strings. I am planning to put on more phosphor bronze like the old one so I get the best of both worlds. So besides from the low string issue, this guitar is PERFECT when you make a few minor adjustments. Thanks, Musician's Friend and Washburn!BTW: Case is EXTRODINAIRY! Better than some that you buy separate.

Comments about Washburn D100DL Acoustic Guitar:

Iva had this guitar for 4 years, I bought, switched the strings for cleartone acoustic strings and tuned it in drop d, I then lost intrest and put it away in the bag, 4 years later, last november I met a friend that played graet, he revived my wanting to be a guitarrist, so he went to my house and saw the guitar, he pulled it out, and he said it sounded great, wich means, the guitar stayed tuned for 4 years, that is incredible, great guitar, great sound nice bass, palm mutes sound great, beautiful guitar and the gig bag is great to, perfect size and comfortable

More than I ever expected!

By Todd-Qp-YL

Comments about Washburn D100DL Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this as my first guitar. Figured for the price if I didn't like it I could sell it off. Got it and WOW! Beautiful guitar. Learned a lot in the first months. When I broke a string I upgraded to Martin's. Then a bone bridge and nut. WOW!!!! The guitar plays like a much higher priced one. I play it every day. A friend that plays well played it and was amazed. Buying another for my wife! Completely recomended.

Comments about Washburn D100DL Acoustic Guitar:

I've had this guitar over a yr now, and it sounds great. I got mine in Transwine Red and it is beautiful. This guitar was a steal at $120!. The tuners are cheap though, and mine stripped after only a few months. Great for all levels.

Not really for a beginner.

By SamStone

Comments about Washburn D100DL Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar is beginner quality, but if you're a beginner, you probably won't know what needs to be done to make it a decent instrument. You will most likely need to straighten the neck, file a few frets. sand the saddle and upgrade the tuners, bridge pins and strings. If you do all of that I'd wager that you'll have a competent laminated guitar that will never sound any better than it does the day you upgrade it. It probably will never warp, with some decent bridge pins and slightly heavier strings you can get some fairly nice tone and sustain and with some action work, it's pretty easy to play. It will not sound better with age so you'll need to keep after it a little bit. Washburn has actually hidden an decent beginner's or second guitar underneath some questionable quality control and cheap parts.

Under priced

By Scott-.TZ4t

from San Antonio

Comments about Washburn D100DL Acoustic Guitar:

Been playing guitar for 25 years, bought this used while deployed and was blown away. It has a good tone, and is set up nice. the lower fret board are a little more concave that most making it sturdy and less likely to bow, this flattens up towards the top making it virtually unoticable. I had planned on leaving it in the dessert but have decided to hang on to it for my home collection. Great deal even the gig bag altough not top of the line gets the job done fine.

pretty average

By MinimumWage

from St. James, MN

Comments about Washburn D100DL Acoustic Guitar:

When i first bought this guitar i was looking for something that stood out and said: "I'm a real musician" It certainly looked great and the guitar and i had been through some good times. however, the quality was far from perfect. It sounded very average and some of the hardware was pretty poor. The action is great. After about 50 campfires the tuning knobs went to crap and the finish wore down. I don't know if I'll ever replace the knobs but i cant part with the guitar. every once and awhile i break out a pair of vice grip and tune the bad boy up. Once again i cant stress enough how beautiful this guitar is. Definitely a step up from one of those beginner guitars.
