I have owned cheaper guitars but wanted to move up to a better one. I shopped around and looked at many different brands and finally select the Washburn and all I can say it that is is a GREAT guitar. It Chords very easy and with the built in tuner is a beginners best friend. Its a beautiful guitar and sounds really great. Well worth the price I paid.
I've owned my Washburn D10SCE for about 3 years, I am a musician / songwriter. I use it very often, the only problem I had with it was about a month after getting it, the strap pin pulled out, after gluing that back in, it was great. It's the third guitar I've owned, and I plan on keeping this one for a while. I would highly recommend this to any beginning or intermmediate player.
I've been playing for a few years now and I wanted a good quality guitar without having to empty my bank account or be so careful with it because it was so expensive. I found the perfect guitar. As soon as I opened the case, this beautiful guitar was just raring to be played. I quickly tuned it with the onboard tuner and starting playing in a bout 3 or 4 minutes. It is a high quality guitar with plenty of playability. Props to Washburn for the quality job and props to Musician's Friend for getting it to me at a great price with a short wait for it.
Solid guitar set up nice right out of the box. The first thing I did after I took it out of the box was put on a set of D'Addario Extra-Light EXP strings and it sounded great. Played through an amp it sounds ok but won't compete with a Taylor or Gibson Songwriter Acoustic. Overall a great sounding very well put togeather guitar at great value.
This my first guitar I ever bought after learning how to play. I fell madly in love with it when I first played it and it has grown to be a part of me. I played numerious gigs with it and wouldnt give it up for anything in the world. Even after buying a new guitar this guitar will be with me as long as I can make it last. This is a great buy for someone who wants a good guitar for a very affordable price.
I have owned this guitar for about two and a half years now. I play it mainly as the accoustic player at a large church in town. The guitar I have is actually the D-10 CEQ SB. It has been a pretty good guitar for my first real guitar. I had really bad problems once I began playing more regularly keeping it in tune. My first repair work was due to the fact that there was a crack in the bridge which ended up being caused by an incorrect saddle being put on it. That was about a year and a half. It tunes better since the addition of my bone compensated saddle, but it still has tuning issues on the B and e strings at and above the third fret (goes terribly sharp). My most recent repair work is currently being done, the electronics just went out after only a year and a half. The guy I take it to told me the Equis system is notorious for going out prematurely. It also was gonna cost me about 200 dollars to replace it. Good guitar for a beginner honestly, but expect to upgrade in a year or two for a serious player.
I bought the D10SCE 1 year ago, and really liked it when I got it. Action was good, sounds excellent acoustically, even better electrically. After about 3 months, the low E & A strings started buzzing. Other than that it is a decent guitar.
GREAT guitar here. I've had it for about 2 months and I have not found anything to be mad about. Plays great and is worth every pennny. I would say best guitar out there for the cost. Two thumbs up.
I have been playing this guitar for about three years. I have played many concerts and shows with it and I love it. it is so easy to play and sounds GREAT! I wouldnt use any other guitar for concerts except this one. Is it a very nice sounding guitar with a VERY affordable price. Good job washburn for doing a good job on this guitar!
If you are a beginner, this is definitely the way to go. I got this guitar about a month ago and I have played it every day. Tuned it up once I got it with the onboard tuner. One of the biggest things I first heard of when I was beginning to play was how discouraged people got because their guitar was out of tune and the onboard tuner took care of that. Came with a hardshell case which is great as I have already transported it alot. At first it was hard to play but now that I have had it a month I have gotten used to it and love playing it. It sounds better every day that I have it. If you are a beginner make sure you get this guitar and stick with it, you won't be sorry.
