The Washburn D52SW is the most elegant guitar I have seen for below $2000. Before I had even picked it up, I was amazed at the quality of construction for a guitar under $1000. The D52SW has a beautiful mahogany back and sides, and the sitka spruce top impresses everyone that sees me take it out of the case. When I picked it up and played it, I was in denial that that kind of sound could come from a guitar that reasonably priced. It offers a warm, crisp tone that compares to an upper end guitar. For an instrument under $1000, you can't go wrong with the warmth of the D52SW.
