This is an excellent guitar for for the metal head on a budget. The price is definitely right. My only complaint is the awkwardness and slight unbalance of V/Explorer hybrid body along with the giant dimebag headstock makes it slightly head-heavy. Compared to a Jackson Kelly, the Dimebag is a little easier to play, since the bridge seems to be a little further back than the Kelly. Pickups are satisfactoy. The set neck (it's not a bolt-on!) makes for some great sustain. Overall, you can't beat it at this price. And to my suprise, it came shipped in a Washburn Dimebag gig bag!
This is a great set neck guitar for the money. Rival more expensive guitars. Very happy with it. Good electronics, But could be better. Great playability.
I got this guitar for my birthday, I've been playing with the round body style guitars, so when I got this it felt extremely weird and heavy, the strings were really thick, and I'm not one for thick strings, so I put on some Ernie Ball Super Slinky's and it plays great. You get used to the heaviness after an hour or 2, atleast I did, I've always loved the Washburn Dime signatures but never had money to buy one. So I'm extremely happy to own this
This guitar is the best and by far, my favorite that I have owned, ever. The loose parts are easily fixed, but everything else on it is amazing.
Ok, I just got it 2 days ago and right out of the box I could tell it was well worth the money. Only minor problems, one being that it was not set up well or intonated and the other was that the neck falls when you stand up with it. All things you can fix yourself so I'm pumped. They even tossed in a nice softcase and a cable (How nice of them), CAN'T BEAT IT. Oh yeah the stock pick-ups are way better than i expected.
