I play this guitar through a Crate FXT120 amp and it sounds good both clean and distorted. The tonal range is good and the tonal controls are easy to access and use. Playing leads is pretty easy and the fret board action is pretty smooth. My only real complaint with this guitar is that it doesn't stay in tune for very long. It seems like I have to tune it up after about ten minutes of playing, so using it in a live setting isn't really an option. It's a good guitar for the price so it's a good starter guitar, but if you're a guitarist who gigs out much you're better off going with a higher quality guitar.
This guitar is great for not only beginners, but intermediate players as well. I have mine in a deep red color, and it looks fantastic. It sounds amazing as well. When you flip the switch up you get deeper tones, with switch in the middle it sounds deep, but has a more twangy sound, and with the switch down it has that fender strat sound. It has a lot of variety, although BOTH the pickups could be better, they still work great. This guitar sounds great for the price that you pay. I would suggest this guitar to anyone who wants to start playing, or anyone who is a guitar collector. If anyone needs any info, feel free to contact.
I've ha this guitar for a while now and it sounds great. The clean is clean and the distortion is distortion. I have not had any problems with it at all. It is a great guitar. I havent had to replace the strings and its been about 8 months, the strings are still in good shape but I will probably replace them this month. No problems with stage performance or anything else, I recommend this guitar for everyone.
I went and bought this guitar with my own money and I've pretty much loved the thing since it arrived on my doorstep. It plays well and while others say that it isn't the best for doing shows I've done plenty of shows and it's just always perfect. It is my Sunday Best Guitar. You won't be sorry with this guitar. Good Job Washburn!!!
