I have have been playing guitar since 1980, and I started teaching that same year. I have my degree in Music Education, teach Guitar, Bass, Percussion and Recording Arts at a college and gig regularly. I am always looking for values and not a label person, if a guitar plays good, then play it, and let me tell you,THIS GUITAR PLAYS FRICKIN AWESOME. If Washburn will continue to make them at this quality then this instrument is a superb value!! Like I noted the cheapest parts on the guitar is the Pot and switch, (big woop!) I think me and Nuno are going to become great friends. I will say that the Bill Lawerence pick-up is HOT and will take some time to get used to... Dimarzio Tone Zone have been my choice for a long time.
I just recieved my order and to my suprise the guitar was more than I had hoped for. The first thing I noticed was the Floyd Rose Special instead of the cheaper copy, ( i was ready to upgrade if i didnt like it) the rhythm pick-up is Duncan USM instead of the Washburn let's put a pick-up in the hole. The finish is as smooth as silk and the neck has a great feel to it. It even came with Grover tuners.
It is a 2010 model, comes with all the the wrenches(very important) and a nice gig bag.
As a long time guitar player, teacher and repairman the first thing I did was take it apart..lol! After reading many reviews i was worried about a lot of thing but was glad it came with the upgrades i was prepared to do. I am going to replace the volume pot and pick-up switch as these are the cheapest parts on the guitar...but you wouldn't have to!
As a teacher I am always searching for instrument that my students can afford and give them a bang for there buck. I have always preferred lower priced instruments, ( my main axe is a MF scratch and dent Ibanez 321 i got for $250 about 10 years ago) and I think this guitar is going to serve me well and i can recommend it. Like i have noted, I was expecting way less as hardware goes because i was doing extencive googling to find out its features and was just expecting all the cheap parts and was going to upgrade. When I called the MF staff was helpful and processed my order quickly..Thanks Folks

Always wanted a N series guitar, well I finally broke down and got the N2 series. Outta the box the guitar is drop dead beautiful. super fast neck, slim body design, L500 Bill Lawrence plus a coil tap man this guitar is a beast. The setup was a lil iffy outa the box. I had to set the floyd up the right way and adjust the intoneation a lil but no big deal. After I slap a 59 in the neck this guitar will be a monster. I would say go out and get 1 of these today

I've owned many other guitars in the past 25 years, but none compare to this. The look in person is waaaayyy better than the picture, the sound is amazing, the feel is like home, and even though it is a licensed floyd, I can drop the low e to a d and the rest of the strings stay in tune, no mods needed. this is it!!

I have been a Jackson player for about 10 years and decided to try something different.....found this at a local pawn shop. Got it home, plugged in, tuned, and was astounded at the feel and sound. The Bill Lawrence kills and the licensed Floyd isn't bad either,I can drop the E to a D and the tuning stays stable except for a hair on the G string.....no D-tuna, no stabilizer, nothing. I love this guitar.

i play metal, but i prefer the strat body, but im not a big ibanez person, so i thought, hey a washburn. i bought it online, got it home and instantly fell in love, its pickups are incredible, ive been using them the until last month when i installed a set of seymour duncan blackouts, the bill lawrence was awesome so i installed it in my dean mlx, the neck pickup wasnt that good so i just left it out. but anyways, i love this guitar, its extremely comfortable, sounds great, especially with blackouts, has a fast neck, and the tremolo doesnt through the guitar outta tune very often, you have to really beat on it to detune. its stripped down to nothing except exactly what you need to roar!

I got one of these from a pawn shop in great condition and I FLIPPEN LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Both pickups are great and SUPER versatile. They don't mention the coil tap pot on the description but it goes great with the Bill Lawrence in the bridge. And the neck pickup is great too. Good for jazz. However, my only complaint would be, much like everyone else, the tremolo. I mean it works just fine but I don't know if its just because its used or I had to tighten the locking nut with a pair of players but It comes slightly out of tune after playing. All the notes go out the same way but when playing with another guitarist who is in tune its noticeable. But like I said it might just be because I don't have the kind or wrench to tighten the nut with. However I wish the tremolo was a little tighter when you push down on it but I think it can be adjusted. But don't let it get you down, this is a AMAZING axe especially for the price. And a original Floyd Rose costs like 200 bucks so trust me, you're saving a ton with this and its still an AMAZING guitar. I suggest you buy it.

Well, this guitar has an awesome sound and the best playabiity on any guitar I ever had ... I can't get enough of that bridge pickup sound! The guitar is so raw, pure and simple ... It's a workhorse. I specially love the ebony fingerbord sound. Floyd is kinda tricky to deal with at first ... but then it stays fine.
