Signature features at a super affordable price.

The Washburn PS10 Paul Stanley Signature Electric Starfire Guitar brings the rock star's most important combination of specs within reach of every budget. Its mahogany body has a raised center and that unmistakable silhouette, accented by some important features. These include a tune-o-matic bridge, a Starfire emblem on the pickguard and chrome mini-humbucker pickups. The set mahogany neck has a comfortable scale-length of 24-3/4" with a bound ebony fingerboard and dot inlays. The PS10 comes with a stop tailpiece, a graphite nut, die-cast tuners and a gig bag too.

World renowned rock icon, Paul Stanley, is the guitarist, vocalist, principal songwriter and co-founder of the rock band KISS, and has reigned supreme as one of the single-most recognizable frontmen in the history of rock and roll. In his KISS persona of "Star Child", Stanley has rocked the world for more than forty years and released more than thirty albums. Stanley began playing guitar at the age of thirteen and was mostly self-taught. He joined his first band at the age of fifteen and went on to form KISS with Gene Simmons in the early '70s. Even after more than thirty years of performing, KISS is still one of the most successful, influential and top-grossing bands of all time.

Comments about Washburn PS10 Paul Stanley Starfire Electric Guitar with gigbag:

It's uncool to show up at a blues jam with a Kiss guitar, but it's way cool to show up with a guitar associated with the late great Johnny Winter. I'm not such a great player that I want to show up with a guitar that gets funny looks. I have no interest in Kiss, but I always wanted a Firebird, and to me that's what this is. It's a real good guitar too. The frets are perfect, an ebony fingerboard is a real plus, and the neck feels and plays great ( even compared to guitars I have that cost four times as much.) The nut is cut properly, the finish (although probably very thick) looks perfect, the tuners look like Grovers without the name and seem to work fine and the pickups sound much better than I expected for the price. I haven't opened it up so I can't comment on the pots and electronics, but it all works without any problem. The jack holds tight, the switch is silent, and the tone and volume knobs have some variation between "on" and "off." The gig bag is high quality and saves the expense and inconvenience of a huge guitar case. Its a very cool guitar worth more than it's price. Don't Kiss it off.

Comments about Washburn PS10 Paul Stanley Starfire Electric Guitar with gigbag:

This is my 2nd one of these. I'm beginning to think Paul Stanley will put his name on anything. I like the guitar, but it has issues. It looks nice and is a comfortable shape, with good weight and balance. The mini humbuckers sound nice. Overall it seems to have a brighter sound to it. The first one I received had really high action, fret buzz, and a slight twist to the neck. The replacement had a straight neck but still has high action. I lowered it as low as I could get it with out the buzz, but its still pretty high. Especially near the head-stock. The nut on this guitar is sub-par and I think that is part of the problem. I plan on replacing mine with a graftech. If that is the root of the problem then it should be a cheap fix. The tuners are also sub-par. I'm going to replace those too. I got mine as a stupid deal of the day. If you can catch it for half price or under and are willing to do some upgrades them its likely worth the money, but not at the regular price.

Comments about Washburn PS10 Paul Stanley Starfire Electric Guitar with gigbag:

I had to tighten up the 1/4 inch plug which wasn't hard (loose when it arrived.) There was no shorting or noise involved. The setup as quite close and needed little tweaking. I like the switch that sends it into overdrive. I am a more conservative player as far as the look of the axe but I thought it was a good purchase for the discounted (Stupid Deal of the Day) price. I searched the internet for reviews but found little regarding this guitar. I decided to take a chance and I am satisfied with the shipment. MF is always fast to deliver and is always well packaged. I like Washburn guitars because they don't skrimp on details at a imported price.

GOOD GUITAR. I DID FEEL ON ARRIVAL THAT THIS WAS
NOT QUITE UP TO THE QUALITY STANDARDS OF SOME OF OTHER IMPORT GUITARS I HAVE BOUGHT. FINISH AND
FIT GOOD. SOUNDS GOOD. I HAD TO DRESS THE FRET
ENDS -A LITTLE RUFF. GIG BAG IS GREAT - NICE
            QUALITY AND HAPPY ADITION.

Comments about Washburn PS10 Paul Stanley Starfire Electric Guitar with gigbag:

Guitar looks really nice. It plays good, but has a little fret buzz on the 6th string at and around the 11th fret. I like the mini-humbuckers. This guitar seems to naturally have a brighter tone to it, but I've also been able to get a lower thicker tone as well. Out of the box the action seemed a tad high. I really like the guitar a lot, but it really doesn't have much sustain at all. These problem areas are relatively minor and despite them I still really like this guitar.
