Absolutely gorgeous guitar. The build quality is flawless, as I have come to expect from Washburn. It feels solid and well built and plays like a dream. Long sustaining notes, crystal clear highs, deep, balanced lows. This guitar looks and sounds like one of much higher cost. It is without a doubt the most comfortable guitar I have ever played, surpassing even Martins, Taylors, etc.
I have been looking for a guitar like this for a long time. The sound is incredible, the action is quick and the amplified sound is superb. the highs and lows are prominent with an incredible presence. The guitar is magnificent. The ash is beautiful and the neck is perfect for my relatively small finger length. You've got to check this guitar out at your local guitar shop. As far as the cost, I was looking at guitars priced twice this one and I believe the cost/versus is unbeatable.
I am in the process of sending this one back. Comes with a nice case. The reference dots on the side of the neck are difficult to see for quick reference. The sound...honestly is horrible. The Grover tuners are not the same as I found in the store models. No R-18 stamped on the back. The guitar is beautiful and I tried to force myself to like it to no avail. I am going to swap this out for the Guild GAD-25.
I was at an outlet in Hanover Ma. to give the Guild 25 a going over before I ordered here. The guild is a nice guitar, for the heck of it bbefore I checked out, I took down the off-beat finish. My music shop show off piece is the original DUST MY BROOM as performed by ROBERT Johnson. geesh, could emulate the tune like never before due to able to chord (open tuning)get my thumb going and make the transition to slide. I have been at this for 40 years..I'm no Robert Johnson, but sound like his best student. I put the guild (a fine guitar) back and walked with this novel looking guitar to the counter. Got it home.. great projection and the "wirery" blues sound I did raise the nut the thickness of a razor blade. All strings are eveN in volumeThe neck and design of the guitar is perfect for finger picking. DON'T OVERLOOK THIS GUITAR....
I love it. This guitar has great tone and action. Plays like it costs much more.
Great Buy. Good unplugged or amped. This is a great guitar. I love it.
