    Great Guitar, Impressed with Workmanship!

Comments about Washburn WD40S Solid Sitka Spruce Top Acoustic Dreadnought Flame Maple Guitar:

Received the Washburn and was immediately impressed with the finish and workmanship. Action is great and tone is very good, too. The flamed maple is beautiful and the inlays are flawless. Comparable to guitars that are 3 or 4 times the price.
Quality is great, no defects that I can see. Beautiful maple finish...
Great value, plays well, good tone. With overall workmanship and finish, this guitar is comparable to guitars 3 or 4 times more costly.

    Washburn WD40S

    By

    from Central Midwest - Illinois

Comments about Washburn WD40S Solid Sitka Spruce Top Acoustic Dreadnought Flame Maple Guitar:

Very good guitar for a very good price. You really can't go wrong with Washburn guitars. No matter what brand of guitar you buy at any price, you really have to sit down and inspect each one closely, play them for a while to see how they feel and actually listen to someone else play them before your purchase.
The Maple is key to a clean - crisp sound and sustain. Although this is not "solid" maple back & sides it still has good sustain and the Sitka Spruce top is as good as any other solid wood guitar. I like the gold tuners and the binding is solid.
The construction is top notch, well put together with no flaws what so ever on the one I purchased. The appointments and binding are nice and tight, frets are good and filed nicely and the neck set required very little tweeking to get that good low action that I like.
I have a small collection of acoustics (7) of which four are Taylor's so I need not say that I don't mind paying top dollar for a well constructed, solid wood guitar that plays and sound fantastic. This Washburn along with the WD20S that I have are great guitars for the price - well worth it!
