The WP21SNS is based on designs Washburn used over 100 years ago. It features beautiful rosewood back and sides with pearl dot fingerboard inlays. It has a 24.75" scale and features a natural stain finish, solid cedar top supported by quartersawn scalloped Sitka spruce bracing, abalone rosette and standard Washburn rosewood bridge. The mahogany neck has a rosewood fingerboard with 44mm nut and gold open gear tuners. These specs produce a nicely balanced tone perfect for fingerpicking and singer/songwriters. Comments about Washburn WP21SNS Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

This is a beautiful little guitar. The craftsmanship is flawless and amazing. The choice of wood used in the construction of this guitar I almost unbelievable considering the price of the instrument. The top is solid cedar and the back and sides are rosewood. The fingerboard and bridge appear also to be rosewood. The neck is mahogany. The sound hole rosette is not a decal as you would expect on a guitar in this price range. Instead it is inlaid abalone. The binding on the neck and body of the guitar is immaculate and very attractive. I also like the flat finish as this gives the instrument a vintage look. Another plus is the nut is made of bone and not of plastic as you would expect in an instrument of this price range. The guitar feels great in my hands and is very responsive with a wonderful sound and clarity. The volume of the instrument is also surprising considering it's size. I enjoy finger picking in the style of Mississippi John Hurt and others of that era and this guitar is just what I have been looking for. To say that I am pleased with this instrument would be an understatement. My hat goes off to Washburn because it is very evident that they made a conscious effort to produce a quality instrument with tremendous attention to detail and craftsmanship. And my hat goes off to Musicians Friend for offering this little jewel at a price that everyone can afford.

Comments about Washburn WP21SNS Parlor Acoustic Guitar:

Out of the box, held it's tune very well, a little glue slabber around bridge, and a blurp in the finish on back of neck, and a bit of fret buzz on 6th string. Gave it a month to acclimate, made an adjustment on the neck and all is good. Great little guitar, sits on a stand at the end of the couch. And, is hard to put down once picked up. For the money, can't beat it.
