Better than most others that cost double

Comments about Yamaha CG102 Classical Guitar:

I've played guitar over 15 years, primarily electric, but have discovered a love for classical / nylon string guitars. I went out to find the best one I could find for the money, tried dozens of them in all sorts of brands, and this is the one on which I landed. There may be a few over double its value that are better, but honestly, not many. For my tastes, the only other one that's even interesting to me is Yamaha's NCX series. This disarmingly cheap CG102 feels right (the neck in particular; it won't gum up with sweat like most finishes), sounds right despite its nato parts, and even looks right. Rich, warm tone, singing notes, and a very comfortable feel for a traditional classical. Maybe they've cut corners since I bought mine in 2012, but the one at GC today seemed pretty tight. Try it out, if you can. It's a real gem among cheap guitars. Your ear and fingers are better judges than the tag.

Comments about Yamaha CG102 Classical Guitar:

I started playing classical in college and wanted the best for the money. This classical guitar has the best sound and action in its price range. It stays in tune just fine(for a classical guitar). My guitar instructor who is a doctor in this profession always speaks highly of my guitar and he plays a very expensive guitar. I've played this guitar for six months now and I've progressed very far and this guitar has a lot to do with that.
