Comments about Yamaha CG122 Classical Guitar:

I am a hobbyist and play for my own enjoyment primarily with no current aspirations to playing for groups either as an amateur or professional.

I love this guitar. It is really affordable but a lovely instrument to listen to. The tone and the balance from low to high are perfect for me. The highs are clear and I do not have to hold back on the lows to keep them from overwhelming the highs. The satin finish is a delight to the touch and feels like wood should.

I have only two issues with it. The lowered action requires a more careful placement of the capo to keep it from buzzing. I would have liked fret marker dots on 3 and 9 as well as 5 and 7 (I will be applying them myself).

I enjoy playing this guitar so much, I do not know when or if I will ever look for another.

I would recommend this yamaha guitar to friends.
