I played one of these at a guitar store and fell immediately in love with it. My buddy played some Takamine', Gibson, Taylor and a few Martins, and I have to say, both him and I loved this model. I have 4 other Yamahas, and this is my ultimate replacement for them. It sounds so sweet and plays so good. The electronics are outstanding. I use this guitar at church twice a week, and it definately sounds good unplugged. When we pipe it into the PA system, the sound is phenominal. It's simply a great guitar for the price, and outperforms some of those high priced guitars I mentioned above.

This baby followed me home today.  I couldn't put it down... great quality, and easily beat the lower-end Taylors and Martins.  Great both acoustically, and through an amp.  This guitar does not disappoint!

I have a Martin HD28V for witch I installed a pickup. I bought this Yamaha FG730sc really as a backup. Unplugged, the Martin handsdown. Plugged in, the Yamaha handsdown. Smooth and sweet like it suppose to be.

I have been wanting an acoustic-electric for quite some time now.  I recently returned from a deployment and we were fortunate enough to have this model at the chapel so I had an oppurtunity to play it for 4 months.  When I returned I told myself I was going to shop around and tried many different brands of guitars.  I wasn't too impressed with the more expensive Martins.  This guitar sounds awesome either way (plugged in or not).  Paired with a set of Elixiar Nanoweb custom lights, it sounds amazing.  Great features, value, and Yamaha quality made this guitar a great purchase for me.

After waiting and mulling over this long and hard I finally broke down and bought a FGX730SCA and I'll admit I was disappointed with the unplugged acoustic sound until I plugged it in to a sound system and boy was I pleasantly surprised and so were my bandmates and church audience. Super crisp sound only made better by the onboard equalizer.  The onboard tuner is a plus anyday.  As for the action of this guitar it couldn't be any better!  My fingers feel like they never touch the frets.  This guitar is a plus for anyone looking for an acoustic/electric.
