All purpose body with textured and dynamic tonewoods.

The Hagstrom Elfdalia Grand Auditorium acoustic guitar is constructed of a solid cedar top with mahogany back and sides. It provides a very lively tone as the cedar top brings out the upper-mid range and has a tendency to be harmonically active. Cedar is a great material to help express the instrument’s overtones. This tight grain of cedar allows the top of the instrument to vibrate more, providing a more responsive tone. Cedar works very well for both flat pickers and finger style technique.

With the Elfdalia Grand Auditorium, the icing on the cake is the gold hardware, which will catch the attention of the player and the audience. The look of the instrument properly matches the instruments responsive tone.

Comments about Hagstrom Elfdalia Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar beats it all. I spent many long nights researching and researching to determine my next purchase.

If I just described your life recently, allow me to convince you.

This guitar is extremely beautiful in person. It feels substanstial and valuable in my hands. Its weight is even and it seems to rest happily wherever you put it.

I keep putting it down and looking at it.

Hagstrom has done a wonderful job with this design here. The Elfdalia Grand Auditorium guitar is absolutely and utterly perfect for anyone who wants to strum AND play fingerstyle. The sustain of the notes... it rings like a beautifully fashioned bell.

For those dreadnought lovers out there, fret not! (Haha) This Grand Auditorium sends that sound outward! It's much louder than I expected - but it's not a painful loudness; but rather it's almost as if I were to apply dynamic band compression to the acoustic guitar itself. Every note rings perfectly, low to high.

I sometimes incorporate a classical style in my songs, though they are more rock/folk in style. Yes. This guitar. Good.

I already played it through my condenser mic. I don't think I need to EQ this guy.

Beginners will love the beauty and the ease of playability up and down the fretboard - and it is easier to wrap your arms around; but it's not a small guitar, so those of us with bigger arms and hands still feel like we are carrying something in our arms.

The experts are going to freak out over this guitar. Especially those of you experts who like to collect guitars or are interesting in "new lines" -- which these Hagstrom acoustics are a new development indeed.

My Hagstrom Elfdalia Grand Auditorium Acoustic guitar came with D'addario EXP (extended play) strings, brand new, and it was tuned. I only needed to tune the A-string up about 20cents because of shipping I imagine. It sounded good immediately out of the box.

This guitar does NOT have a pickguard. If you use a pick, be mindful of this. I strum with my thumb - and though most guitars would sound more dead with thumb-strumming... not this one. Nope - it's still loud and crisp. It's so beautiful.

The hardware is enjoyable and nice to look at. The tuners work perfectly.

If you want to use a strap, get a strap that has shoe string lace on one side so you can tie it. It has a peg to latch one side of the strap on the bottom, but not in the middle or on top.

I really could keep going on and on.

I researched Schecter, Wechter, Recording King, Cort, Alvarez, Takamine, Fender, Ibanez, Yamaha, Seagull, and many others.

For this price range, the ONLY other guitar that you are going to find that truly competes with this Hagstrom is the Seagull........ and I think that the Seagull S6 might have met its match here.

If I had not gotten this guitar, I would have probably settled on the Schecter SGR SA-1. But I highly doubt it would have even competed with this beautiful Hagstrom Elfdalia GA acoustic.

    I'm just overjoyed.

    You will be, too.

Get it before this promotional price is gone, y'all... seriously.

Comments about Hagstrom Elfdalia Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

This is an incredible deal which people need to snap up while they can. This is a wonderful guitar - well constructed with bright harmonic sound. The action is low and fast and the guitar holds tune very well. With it's classic design, the appointments look like high quality - certainly worthy of a guitar many times its price. It is a chinese-made guitar but the folks at Hagstrom obviously have a handle on quality control. Even though their electric guitars are legendary - their acoustic line may soon develpo a reputation all of their own. I can't believe the guitar I got for the price - surely I'm not the only player out there whose pocket book is a little thin. Take my advice - pick one (or two or three)up ASAP.
