The Hal Leonard Don't Fret Note Map is made of cling vinyl. Just peel the map from its backing, slide it under the strings and position the fret holes over the frets. Shows note names and locations across the fretboard, over all 12 frets. Unique color-coded method makes music reading easy, and accelerates finger memory. Easily removed and reusable.

I really liked it when i saw it but thought it was stickers. it wasn't stickers, its an annoying piece of plastic hard to put on. it does the job and MIGHT help you memorize the fretboard or make you lazy. I say give it a shot and once in awhile take it off to see if you're doing better.

It's a good idea, but its got a few problems. First, it says that it fits any guitar with a 25.5" scale legnth? not true with mine. It'll only fit my les paul, or any other guitar with a 24.75" scale. Also, the plastic is really annoying to get on and off. It will not cling to unfinished wood, so keep that in mind. Its near impossible to smooth out the top on a rosewood or ebony fingerboard, so you get buzzing like crazy.I'm an expierienced guitarist who wants to learn to read music, and I may not even use this thing. It's a good idea, but highly impratical.

I tried this, but found it easy enough to memorize a few notes per day, one string at a time, then drill myself on it regularly. There's freeware available that drills you on note positions, if you want to be a fret pro.

it is a good idea but....it dose not stay in place and sometimes hard to line up and there is the fret buzz you have to deal with....just an after note if you have a spare guitar you don't play it might work for that as a visual aide but trying to actually play with this thing on is hard because of string muting and fret buzz.

Don't waste you money. I thought it was stickers you applied but it's viynl thing that wraps around the fretboard and neck. It fits poorly and causes fret buzz.
