Comments about Electro-Voice RE2-N7 Wireless System with EV 767a Dynamic Element:

I used this wireless mic system for a wedding reception and for small venue music performance. I was very impressed with the system. While doing the wedding reception announcements, I did not ahve any drop out at all and I even had to leave the banquet hall to coordinate people in the hallway while making announcements. It's a great system and really enjoy it. It is very light and the N767 mic element compliments all my other vocal mics and sounds as good as my wired 767a mics.

Comments about Electro-Voice RE2-N7 Wireless System with EV 767a Dynamic Element:

This mic provides little to no pop, has a warm sound and comfortable grip. It picked up my softest nuances (jazz vocals) and filled out my full voice sound without too much bass. I used the ND367 Female hard wire mic for years, and hope to do the same with this wireless. Truly beautiful sound!

Comments about Electro-Voice RE2-N7 Wireless System with EV 767a Dynamic Element:

I spent a good bit of time comparing reviews on this mic with the wireless SM-58 and others. In the end, I narrowed it down to this and the SM-58. After reading reviews on the SM-58 and knowing folks who own them, the mic shaft seems less-than-durable (many stories involving duct tape). I really like that the EV has a rubbery-feel to the mic and shaft seems built much more durable. I've been lead singer in live bands for 16 years (previously used a really old Peavey wireless that lasted forever). I've used the EV now at 5 live band gigs (lead vocals) and used it once as a mobile dj (on a mic stand to catch the ceremony, and passed around for toasts). DJ-ing, the mic picked up when a solid 100 yards from the receiver..no dropouts and great clarity. I was impressed how well it picked up the pastor's voice from 3-4 feet away (reviews have said you have to be right up on this mic). It's pretty goood about not feeding back (unless you're terribly careless and right in front of the speaker, pointing it at the speaker). Have had no dropouts. Battery indicator is a plus. I've gone through about one battery in a 4 hour show. I sing mid-high range male vocal. It picks up great. Very clear in the lows and highs. We do a variety of styles, and this mic molds with me to each of them. Again, the rubbery grip is great when holding the mic continuously for 1-hour sets (I prefer to hold rather than use stand most of the time). A friend (professional mobile DJ) will likely be buying one after seeing the range and clarity this mic offers. If you get this mic, I think you'll be very pleased. I've had it about 3 months now. No problems, but can't yet speak to how well it holds up over time.

Best Wireless mic I have purchased

        By Kevin Kneeland

        from Wyoming

Comments about Electro-Voice RE2-N7 Wireless System with EV 767a Dynamic Element:

Only missing the battery level on mic and a mute. For me, I like that it does not have a mute, it is on or off, just make sure you turn it on a few seconds before you need it if you turn it off as a mute option!
Would be nice to have battery level indicator on mic, other than that, has everything. Guess that is on the update of this mic.
The quality of this microphone far exceeds any wireless I have purchased. It sounds like a wired mic. Speaker/singer sounds really good.
I am shocked that they are selling this high quality microphone for this price. I didn't expect this quality. Only down is that mic is really light which makes you think cheap, but it is far from cheap!

        A Must Buy!

        By Dale Fitzpatrick

Comments about Electro-Voice RE2-N7 Wireless System with EV 767a Dynamic Element:

EV hit it out of the park with this unit, sound quality and reliability are essential to any mobile DJ and this unit delivers!
Great features handheld and receiver! My old Audio Technica did not have a battery bar indicator and you relied on the red light, with no advance warning when it would completely go out or start to fade.
EV is always know for great quality and this unit is no different!
A little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for!

        Just Plain Amazing

Comments about Electro-Voice RE2-N7 Wireless System with EV 767a Dynamic Element:

I own shure mics, sennheisers, audio tehcnica, audix, samson, well, let's just say everything. No mic I have ever owned comes close to this in sound quality. I have never heard RF interference on this mic EVER. Battery life is above average. And I've never played a venue where I could go out of range. My only wish is that it was more durable (mic body is plastic and I host karaoke). But you cant have everything. I have had professional vocalists ask me to buy mine. I said no...

        bottom line - sound quality

        By TexAxe

        from Houston, TX

Comments about Electro-Voice RE2-N7 Wireless System with EV 767a Dynamic Element:

We've been using EV 367s, 767s and 967s since the early '90s and I don't know why more people haven't caught on; better frequency response, much better off-axis rejection and super-cardiod performance resulting in much less "oops" feedback, especially for inexperienced vocalists. If you work with amateur sound people, you may have to explain these things to them, but they will be thrilled once they understand. The wireless has been to 5 gigs so far with no signal drop or problems of any kind, but our first EV wireless went for 17 years with no problems either, which is better than expected. We always have happily accepted the EV requirement that you get right up on the microphone, in return for the competing instrument rejection and lack of squealing feedback.

        Better than more expensive models

Comments about Electro-Voice RE2-N7 Wireless System with EV 767a Dynamic Element:

In looking to replace my now useless Beta 58 2 channel wireless system I was going to stick with shure and get their PGX wireless 58. After a trip to the local shop I found this mic and decided that for the money it might be worth giving a try. I am absolutely amazed at not only the difference in sound quality in the EV mic over the Shure SM and Beta, but the wireless system has been absolutely flawless. No signal drop, the same battery is in it from day 1 after at least 5 hours of use and the meter is still ready full, and it's range has been exceptional. The auto channel selection and on/off side switch are great. The only flaw in this design is there there is no actual mute switch, meaning when you turn it back on it takes about 2 seconds to be ready. For what I do, this is not a problem at all.I'm currently looking to pick up a few more of these used to go with my current one and a body pack for wedding ceremony usage. If you need a solid wireless Mic for a great price that will last this is the one to look at.
