Shure

One of Shure's most popular vocal mics paired with a 24-bit/48kHz digital receiver and handheld transmitter.

This PGXD24/SM86 Digital Wireless System from Shure adds the clarity of 24-bit digital audio to the legacy of trusted Shure microphone options for wireless performance.
The Shure SM86 is a unidirectional (cardioid) condenser vocal microphone for professional use in live performance. An extremely rugged microphone, the SM86 withstands the rigors of touring while delivering a clear, studio-quality sound.

A cardioid pickup pattern isolates the main sound source while minimizing unwanted background noise. The built-in three-point shock mount minimizes handling noise, and a two-stage pop filter reduces wind and breath "pop" noise.

Besides the SM86 microphone, you also get a PGXD2 handheld transmitter, PGXD4 receiver, padded carrying case, and a microphone clip.

The PGXD2 transmitter features automatic setup, a multi-function LED Indicator (power, lockout, mute, low battery), and provides you with 8 hours of continuous use on 2 AA batteries. It gives you and your microphone a generous 200' (60m) operating range without losing audio quality.

The PGXD4 receiver offers 24-bit/48kHz accurate sound, offers technology for incredibly accurate sound, auto frequency selection, and greater reliability thanks to its true digital diversity.

Comments about Shure PGXD24/SM86 Digital Wireless System with SM86 Mic:

I have used a lot of Shure and other microphones over the years. First, Shure mikes are probably the most dependable you'll find and they always sound at least "good" if not "GREAT"! I recently bought the same setup as this, but with the "Beta 58a" cartridge for my wife's vocals. Worked so well...I tried using it for my sax/flute work and it was perfect! So, bought this kit with the 86 cartridge for my sax/flute work and it is great! The sound is spot on and it is incredibly easy to setup & use! No feedback problems in live performance either! Works great as either vocal or instrument mike...love the flexibility!

Comments about Shure PGXD24/SM86 Digital Wireless System with SM86 Mic:

your digital system is one of the best shure mics I've ever purchased and this is my fourth one. It is everything you said it would be plus. The sound is the shure sound but upgraded about ten times better. It gives you the distance one would need, freedom to move throughout a room without any interference. I simple love it. Good piece of equptment.

      Shure digital clarity

      By Sam Tringali

Comments about Shure PGXD24/SM86 Digital Wireless System with SM86 Mic:

Shure mics have been around longer than most of the musicians using them and they are the #1 choice of most professionals. This mic has a great frequency range for vocals and is very easy to set-up and use. Go digital if you can afford it, because it's a step up from UHF and VHF systems.
