High-quality UHF wireless affordably priced.

The Audio Technica ATW-701 UHF Guitar Wireless System includes the ATW-R700 receiver and the ATW-T701 UniPak transmitter with AT-GCW guitar/instrument input cable. The ATW-701 UHF Guitar wireless system delivers professional features and sound quality unheard of in its class. This easy-to-use wireless microphone system features eight selectable frequency-coordinated channels, diversity operation for increased range/reliability, manual and automatic frequency scanning, Tone Lock squelch and more.

The ATW-701 system provides a choice of eight PLL synthesized UHF frequencies in the 542-561 MHz band (TV channels 26-29). For multiple-mic applications as many as eight systems may be used together.

ATW-R700 Receiver

The ATW-R700 receiver features diversity reception. Logic circuitry monitors reception, selecting the superior signal from two antennas, providing better sound quality and reducing the possibility of interference and dropouts. Soft-touch controls provide convenient access to selection of operating frequency and automatic scanning, while an LED display indicates selected channel and scanning operation. The ATW-R700 receiver also features a sophisticated Tone Lock tone squelch system that opens the receiver's audio output only when a 700 Series transmitter is detected, reducing the possibility of interference.

ATW-T701 Body-Pack Transmitter

The versatile ATW-T701 UniPak body-pack transmitter has both low- and high-impedance inputs plus a bias connection, for use with dynamic and electret condenser microphones, as well as Hi-Z instrument pickups. The UniPak transmitter also offers separate trim controls for guitar and microphone, plus switchable high/low RF power. The ATW-T701 uses ((

AT-GCW Guitar Input Cable

great for a bedroom

Comments about Audio-Technica ATW-701 700 Series UHF Guitar Wireless System:

I borrowed this thing from my lead player and now I understand why he doesn't use it. I play bass in a classic/southern/blues rock band and use this thing so i can walk around the venue during soundcheck and set levels, eq etc if the soundman isn't there. It's ...umm..ok I guess, in that i get the mobility, but other than that it sucks. It drops out then mysteriously cuts back in for no apparent reason, and the level seems to fluctuate. If you are figuring on 2 guys in the band buying one of these things and using them at the same time...good luck. They come shipped all with the same frequency as a default and two systems will not operate together at the same time. Since the frequency is crystal driven, changing frequencies is like an old cb radio. Another thing i noticed using this unit in a large venue is that if you get very far from the reciever, an incredibly large degree of latency (delay between playing the note and hearing the note) rears it's head. BIG BIG delay...in the order of a half second. My conclusion: If you are some kid or bedroom guy i guess it would be ok, but if you are an actual gigging musician, save up and buy a REAL wireless.

First 30minutes are great

Comments about Audio-Technica ATW-701 700 Series UHF Guitar Wireless System:

Sound quality is great, easy set up, great channel selections...ONE MAJOR FLAWEvery time i use it, after about 30 minutes of playing the signal will start to cut out. Im no technical expert but im guessing it has to do with it getting hot or something. why else would it start to not work after 30minutes. So if u plan on using it for more than 30 minutes dont get this one. im really disappointed.

Not very durable...

By asthmaguy7

Comments about Audio-Technica ATW-701 700 Series UHF Guitar Wireless System:

This is a good wireless kit IF you don't plan on rocking out while you play. Which is pretty much the point of a wireless kit.Doing any kind of guitar spins or swings causes the batteries to come loose in the battery compartment, even if you tape the batteries down or stuff the compartment. There is no big reduction in tone, but you better buy a noise gate if you plan on using this thing with a gain channel. Otherwise, you'll have to turn the volume down on the receiver unit, which will then suck all of your tone away.I would recommend this system to someone who doesn't plan on rocking out much while playing. But then again, why else would you buy a wireless kit in the first place. For the price, you can buy a much more reliable system.

Guitar is more fun now.

Comments about Audio-Technica ATW-701 700 Series UHF Guitar Wireless System:

I got this a while back and I've been pleased with the mobility I have now. Playing guitar is now easier that I can walk from one side of a stage to the other without crossing wires or stepping on the cable. The system has good range and doesn't delay or distort my guitar. I can walk outside and still here myself shred. The best part is that the batteries last for about eight hours, which is a long time if your actually using it. I have no problems with this system whatsoever. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to be free of cables.

Wait, Audio-Technica???

By Stratmaster724

Comments about Audio-Technica ATW-701 700 Series UHF Guitar Wireless System:

This thing absolutely rocks!!! When compared to the shure PGX series, this thing is much faster, no delay up to bout 200 ft! Also has no annoying automatic noise gate, everything is adjustable to your own preference! Add to your show and best of all, no stomping on cables! There is only one drawback, there is this annoying little screwdriver u have to use to make all adjustments on the bodypack(changing the channel and gain). It does get kinda hard to keep up with, but there is a handy little holder for it in the battery compartment. Also if you get a hiss right out of the box, adjust the volume knob on the back of the Reciever to adjust it out, once it's gone, that's it! Very affordable, reliable, and well perfoming piece! Shure, take notes....

Perfect for our Praise Band

By Anonymous

Comments about Audio-Technica ATW-701 700 Series UHF Guitar Wireless System:

I recieved this for Christmas along with my PRS CE 24 that I am using for church services with our praise band. The best feature is that this has many different channels to set your guitar for. This makes it very helpful when you are running all wireless mics and a couple another guitar (wired) and a keyboard. This is very helpful to me because I can walk out into the sanctuary to do my own sound check. There is no delay in response witch is a must. Overall GREAT VALUE!
