OVERVIEW

A lightweight, low-profile system that provides tone presets to match the sounds of guitar cables.

Line 6's Relay G30 redefines the wireless experience for guitarists and bassists with superior sound, professional dependability, and refreshing simplicity.

The Relay G30 Digital Wireless Mic System provides a pure signal so guitars get a beautiful high-end sparkle and basses get a thunderous low-end punch, even at distances of up to 30 meters (98 ft. approx). The signal's clarity rivals that of the highest-quality guitar cables. Traditional wireless systems compromise their sound by rolling-off crucial high- and low-end frequencies and compressing their signals. Relay G30 offers superior sound with full bandwidth and zero compression.

Professional Dependability
The Relay G30 broadcasts its robust signal over the 2.4GHz band. This keeps the signal free from many kinds of interference. For added security, the system employs exclusive signal protection technology: it broadcasts an encrypted data stream on six channels simultaneously. Traditional wireless instrument systems, on the other hand, are susceptible to dropouts, static, and many other kinds of interference. Broadcasting over congested UHF bands, their signals may be affected by interference generated as far away as 100 miles, or more.

Refreshing Simplicity
The lightweight transmitter of the Line 6 Relay G30 remains out of the way of your performance, and the rugged receiver can sit on top of your amp or be added to your pedal board. The receiver offers bright and easy-to-read LEDs that display power, status, and battery life. Its standard 1/4" inputs and outputs deliver real convenience.

The mic system comes complete with transmitter, receiver, and all necessary accessories including cable, power supply, and batteries.

Attached to Your Guitar Cable?
For players attached to cables, adopting a wireless system introduces many questions: What will it feel like? Will it change my sound? Relay G30 sounds just like a cable, but it also sounds just like your cable. It features two EQ settings that match the frequency responses of typical guitar cables. Different players use different cables, but all players can use Line 6 Relay G30.

The Wireless Mic Revolution
Relay G30 is proudly ushering in a better-sounding and more dependable era of wireless guitar systems. It will inspire you to explore new areas of your music and the stage.

I think the Line 6 Relay G30 is a great buy, works very good no signal lost great distance, The sound reproduction is as good as the Mogami cables I was using, other people complained about battery life, I found that using a Duracell 15 minute charger and batteries that come with it work real well with these units, big money saver! The manual says not to use rechargeable batteries but does not describe why. There is no difference in battery size. I have had the batteries sitting in my units plugged in for up to a week, and when turning on they were ready to go. It is nice that the receiver blends right in with my petal array. I have had the same two units for two years and no trouble at all. No trouble with the battery door as describe by others. I put mine in a medium size Neotect cases it fits real nice slides easily in and out to change batteries or change channel on it. The clip I really didn't needed to be removed to use the case but you can if you want. I put a hole large enough to expose the whole jack assembly in the bottom of the case and used a straight to 90 going into instrument seems to work great so far, but before I bought my cases I made a mod on the clip seem to help from clip getting hooked to the point that when you removed from your pocket or strap it would break. I would buy again if I needed to great product and nice not to be tipping over cords no more.

Based on my experience I can't recommend this product at all. I wish I could have it replaced instead of having to keep getting it repaired. Even if it gets fixed, I can't trust it to keep working. It's really embarassing to have your equipment fail during a performance. The compact size and ease of use is great, but what good is that if it's not dependable and is always broken.
Easy to use except I have to use duct tape to tape keep it on my guitar strap. Also doesn't stay on my belt. Just doesn't clip on and stay on well. Great compact size and no antennas. I put the receiver with my pedal board. No difference in sound quality-just like your guitar is plugged into the amp.
It stopped working right in the middle of a song during a gig. Was only 6 months old. Luckily I bought the extended coverage. It took 6 weeks to get it back after the hassle and expense of going to the UPS store and sending it in. The first time I used it after getting it repaired, it stopped working right in the middle of a song at a gig again. So now I have to pay to have it shipped for repair again. The definition of quality is "fitness for use." Since it is not fit for use I have to give it a terrible quality rating.
This product has no value because it fails to work properly

Comments about Line 6 Relay G30 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

I have purchased three of these. All of them had the same flaw. The door that holds the battery pack on the transmitter pops open. Taping it closed helped, but sometimes the batteries still do not make contact. For my purposes, I need a very reliable wireless at my shows. I cannot count on this one, and am tired of the frustration, so I am trying a higher end Shure system. Line 6 really needs to address this design flaw.

Comments about Line 6 Relay G30 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

I bought this one because it was cheaper while the bass player in my band bought the G50 and told me to get it because it had better reviews at the time.(should have listened) We both compared who had better range while we walked out of my house playing our instruments have our lead singer listen to whose playing cut out first. Of course mine was the first to go out. It was fine not having the extra range, but I found that when I would play live it would cut out in the middle of my playing although I was right next to the receiver which was horrible to deal with while our bass player experienced no interruptions. Finally I found out that the G30 is made of plastic while the G50 is made of metal and of course the clip on mine broke off while the bass player's still works perfectly.

You can't find a better wireless at this price. Sure, it's plastic, but it's well constructed. I take good care of my gear, durability will not be an issue. Sounds great, colors the sound only very slightly in the high end (can't tell when standing in front of the amp, but can hear it in my IEM), not enough for most people to notice.

Comments about Line 6 Relay G30 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

Love it. Love the freedom! I am kind of hyper about cords and I'm constantly kicking it to the side or worrying about stepping on it. With the wireless I find I'm just moving all over with no worries. Running out on the dance floor is a blast too and the crowd seems to love it. I did read some about some issues with the battery door. Either they redesigned it of the bad reviews were from people who beat on their equipment. I see no problems with the door. I mounted the transmitter on my strap semi permanently. It just stays with the guitar during breaks. I haven't noticed a tone issue, but in a live rock performance I don't think it makes that much difference. I'd use a cord in a studio for sure. Still have to check the lifespan of this unit, but I am now hooked on wireless.

Great Sound but Poor Build Quality

Comments about Line 6 Relay G30 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

I love the sound quality of this unit, but it is built rather flimsily. It doesn't balance well on the clip and keeps falling off. I had to buy a little pouch to put it in. Then, the battery door keeps opening because the latch isn't sufficient. I had the unit in my pocket and removed my keys. The battery door had opened- as it always does and removing my keys ripped the whole door off and even took off the plastic that the door hinges on. I have to strap it down with baler twine now. They should have made the batteries go in length-wise instead of on the end. Then it wouldn't even matter if the door broke off. It is a very reasonably priced unit for the sound that you get out of it- there is less signal loss than with a 20 foot cable- but the low price is only so good if it breaks so easily. Also, I bought a lavalier mic so that I could use the same guitar unit to talk to a class of students on a small PA. The mic- also Line 6- was inexpensive, but the cable wore out in about 2 months and there is a lot of clicking and popping making it unusable. The electronics are great but the stuff doesn't last unless you baby it- like keep it in the box and don't use it. I hardly ever break anything because I'm quite careful.

Comments about Line 6 Relay G30 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

Got this unit with minimal expectations... Arrived fast , easy set up sound is awesome!
Crystal clear however ,if you are a purist and want to simulate your guitar cord there are 2 settings for that. So far no issues. I run a whole house wi-fi router for Internet and no interference.
There has been some users who state the battery door on the reciever breaks easily , I have not found this to be the case.
If you take reasonable care and use a Velcro pouch which can be purchased for the unit you should have no issues.
The range on this is great !! I can get 50 plus feet away , what more could you Ask for!
Buy one you will love it!

I was apprehensive about getting this relay system because of all of the reviews talking about the batter door breaking. My bassist got one and said it seemed fine and after I got one and checked it out, the people who complain about this being easily breakable are way too hard on their gear. This thing sounds amazing, it sounds very clear and even adds some punch :D

Been using this unit at a number of venues. Reciever signal output to the amp has a good level and the amp responds nicely to my fiddling with the knobs for the sounds I want.
Only drawback I've found is Battery Life. If the batteries lasted longer I'd give it that 5th star. Another one of those fresh set for each gig units but the clarity is worth it.
