Comments about Meinl High Pitch Percussion Block:

I didn't have a lot of room to expand my kit and needed a small, affordable, unique sound addition. This blocks fulfilled all requirements. It's also cutting, loud and takes a beating. My only complaint has been that the tightening mechanism seems to loosen after about 10 minutes of playing. I don't play the block a lot so it tends to stay tight as long as I really need it to. I originally bought the block to get the sound that Boris Williams did on some old Cure tracks. There are only a couple of tracks off of "Disintegration" that I play along to so it stays on tight enough to get through a song or two. I just don't like having to check it before playing every song.
