OVERVIEW

A compact, 25-note mini USB/MIDI keyboard bundled with award-winning software featuring 5000 classic synth sounds.

Arturia's MiniLab USB Controller was designed to marry the style you love with the hands-on control and portability you need to take your studio wherever you are inspired. Made for the on-the-go musician or the performer with a limited working space, the MiniLab gives you a great depth of features in a package that is portable, stylish, and sturdy.

Control Freak
MiniLab features 25 velocity-sensitive mini-keys alongside Aruturia's special pitch and modulation touch controls, giving you maximum expression and playability in a highly portable package. 16 encoders makes sure you have everything you need to program or perform wherever life takes you. Two banks of 8 backlit performance pads, for 16 total, can easily be assigned as pads, MIDI CC buttons or Program change switches. The recessed full-sized MIDI jack will keep your connection safe and out of the way. Add to all this, a sustain pedal input jack and you have the premiere mobile keyboard solution.

Thanks for the memories
All of this control is further expanded by having direct access to 8 user presets. MiniLab offers Arturia's free MIDI Control Center software which lets you map parameters in a simple and easy way directly from your computer. Those presets are then stored in the hardware for instant recall.

Power, Style and Sound
The power of the features and visual styling are obvious, but Arturia gave the MiniLab their award-winning Analog Laboratory 2.0 software so that it sounds good too. This extremely powerful software synthesizer solution with over 5000 classic synthesizer sounds from Arturia's premier vintage analog recreations at your fingertips. All presets in Analog Lab 2.0 have been carefully selected from the Arturia Classic Synths: Mini V, Modular V, CS-80 V, ARP2600 V, Jupiter-8V, Prophet 5, Prophet VS, Oberheim SEM V and Wurlitzer V. These TAE powered sounds offer unparalleled audio quality. Analog Lab will take your sound and workflow to a new level. And it adapts to your MiniLab interface, providing you with an easy 1:1 user experience.

More than just a sound library
Analog Lab offers the ability to do fast and simple editing and customizing of your presets but it doesn't stop there; owners of the original individual synthesizer software products or the V Collection can open an Analog Lab sound and edit it in the original software, save it and then add it to their library. Arturia's new Multi mode allows you to create amazing layers and splits as well as warping and twisting your sounds with 15 high-quality effects.

Recently purchased this guy, Works awesome with Reaper. The knobs feel sturdy as well as the keys and the pads.

Has a lot of banks and is easy to customize. Also Changing thru midi channels and presets is very fast and can be done even during live performance.

Also works well with Reaper as a controller surface.

The software that comes with while has a lot of nice sounds, leaves a lot to wish (and is a bit buggy) but I bought it to control other virtual instruments and my DAW which it does perfectly!

Mine arrived with a corner chunk of the side completely broken off, Thank you quality control. Super Glue fixed it, Unit has some weight, Encoders are of good quality, Keys are tiny & very thin. Keys are also very tight so trying to actually play is hard on the hands. The royal pain is the Registration! In order to use the Software you have to register the unit online, but the Unlock codes don't work & you have to reister your system over at Seteinberg. Ther Serial numbers are not listed on the card easily, so it's up to you to try to figure out how enter it from 3 formats, unlock code doesn't work, so you can't register the software as you have no code yet. he software does sound awesome. For the price it's a lot of headache.

Comments about Arturia MiniLab Mini Hybrid Keyboard Controller:

It's great for putting down your ideas easily. You have enough knobs to do whatever you want with them since they are assignable. It's one of the few at this price range and size that has pitch bend and modulation strips (which work fine).
The only thing I miss in this controller is aftertouch and a good quality feel.
It hasn't broken down on me yet but it feels fragile and not sturdy at all, but I guess that is more than excusable at this price range.
Another great feature is the software you get, great for creative work.
I have made enough songs with it to be sure that it was worth my money.

Comments about Arturia MiniLab Mini Hybrid Keyboard Controller:

Bought this unit after shopping the market, Simularly priced controllers felt like toys! This controller was sturdy and felt like quality. After getting it home and after downloading the drivers and software (1 hour). I was able to successfully control FL Studio with ease! The Audio software is so-so and would be great if I could import the sounds into my DAW for use in production but I have not been able too yet...oh well. This unit will make a great addition to my MIDI controller rig and can't wait to perform with it!

I bought the MiniLab because it is unexpensive. But as a matter of fact it is a useful MIDI controller - I know take it with me some time - and it comes with a very interesting software called Analog Lab. I recommend this product.

Comments about Arturia MiniLab Mini Hybrid Keyboard Controller:

Arturia should not have released this. It makes ableton crash. If you play more than afew notes or play fast, it crashes the DAW. The sound is really good, but the bugs make it nearly unusuable. Fix the peripherals arturia!!!

Comments about Arturia MiniLab Mini Hybrid Keyboard Controller:

The sounds in the software itself are pretty neat. I downloaded Analog Laboratory demo but this comes with Analog Lab (which is different). The bugs have definitely not been worked through. Too much data being sent at once (as in, you're enjoying yourself tweaking knobs) causes the software to crash. My controller shipped with a busted second pad that is always ON, randomly triggering nonsense. There is a Panic button in the software that does nothing.

Comments about Arturia MiniLab Mini Hybrid Keyboard Controller:

Bought it and returned it. Analog Lab software CRASHES. Never got to use it. When you open the software it crashes once you click or try to change anything as a stand alone or in your DAW. Arturia costumer service is VERY POOR. Made to email contacts with them then they disappeared and no response. The controller works but not the software.
