Comments about Behringer ULTRATONE K450FX Keyboard Amp/PA System:
Bought this for almost 6yrs already, basically as. A keyboard amp. This thing experienced snow, slight rain almost all kind of weather here in alberta as i have to walk and carry this thing to our practice venue. And never had a major issue with this thing, and really pleased with it. So i decided to give this thing a good review wich is overdue already. as BEHRINGER definitely deserves it. That's one of the best thing about behringer great quality and very affordable. Just compare the price when you shop around plus the features and other people's review.
K450fx has 3 channels with dedicated send fx for each + 5band eq, + 100effects + cd in. Etc. great package! I even use it for my electric acoustic guitar. And sounds really good. I was thinking of buying a fishman but it seems that k450fx will do the job.
The only con i can think is that it seems to be not powerful enough to handle 3chan els when volumes are cranked up
Overall it is highy recommended
Comments about Behringer ULTRATONE K450FX Keyboard Amp/PA System:
I'm comparing the UltratoneK450FX it to the similar 1800 model. I've used both for acoustic guitar and vocals. I was forced to use a lighter amp due to a bad back. The 450 is suprisingly loud. At least as loud as the 1800 although I don't get how this could be with the difference in wattage rating. I'm having to turn the 450 down at the same settings I hade with the 1800.
The 1800 has a much airier and crisper sound to my ear. The 1800 has a much more musical high-end and present upper-mids despite what you do with the EQ on the 450. It just sounds cheap compared to the 1800 which I've done at least 300 shows with.
The effects on either unit are very usable considering price. There are 4 imputs on the 1800 compared to 3 on the 450. The 1800 has 7 band EQ instead of 5. There are lots more options for connecting to other gear on the 1800. I hve not found the feedback control to be of use.
On the positive side, as I said, it is 16 pounds lighter, has suprising volume and has a hole for pole mounting which a feature painfully lacking in the 1800.If you tend to have a thin, trebly kind of vocal this amp may help thicken things up. In general however,if your back and wallet can take it, spend a few more dollars for the UltratoneK1800FX. I absolutely love that unit. I've had 2 of them.
Comments about Behringer ULTRATONE K450FX Keyboard Amp/PA System:
great speaker, good build, has mic inputs, little PA system for small places. but the down side is that not stereo, no tweeter, but for the price, best value. who knows maybe you can buy two and use as stero speakers at this price!! XD
i use this product everyday, and i must say i suprise myself every once in a while with all of the features packed in this speaker. the FX it has goes from reverbs to delays to flanger/phaser to chorus to mixed effects. i recently plugged in my guitar, and this amp substituted for my pedel!!
the material on the ouside of the cabinent is this styrofoam/plastic/soft material that is great and nice to carry with. the eq sliders and all the knobs are top notch professional quality.
I really dont realize the need of this speaker as a keyboard speaker, maybe as a monitor, or a acoustic guitar amp, but not as a keyboard speaker. the reason being is that its NOT STEREO!! this speaker makes my motifs piano sound like a 200 keyboard. i suggest you get studio moitors for best sound. but other than the piano sound, all the other sounds(synths, drums, organs, even epianos) sound great.
Comments about Behringer ULTRATONE K450FX Keyboard Amp/PA System:
I previously had two amps: Peavey KB3 and a Roland KC-60. Sold them both and got this one for practices and small gigs to feed my vocals and my electronic drum kit. I also play an acoustic guitar thru it and could not be any happier with the sound clarity of this little amp. I was a little worried that this amp does not have a tweeter but the high sounds are fairly reproduced. Bass is superb. The 5 band EQ allows me to shape the sound way much better than with my two previous amps. This amp is very loud at 45 watts, even louder than my peavey kb3 (that is supossed to have 60 watts). The construction quality is solid and the effects are ok. It comes with three channels, but you can use the two inputs of channel 1 at the same time so it will give you 4 inputs. Very, very nice amp. I made extensive research to buy my next amp and definitely it is worth the 5 stars people are giving to it.
Comments about Behringer ULTRATONE K450FX Keyboard Amp/PA System:
I have used a 50 pound Peavey for a long time, but since I'm getting a bit older, my back don't like to carry the heavy amp much anymore. I bought this Behringer because it was about 20 pounds lighter, relative low cost and loaded with a lot of "bells and whisles". This amp has plenty of output, and has solved my weight handling problem. For me, it has two draw backs. It takes more effort and time to adjust all of the imputs when setting up (I use three - one for vocal, one for a drum machine and one for my guitar). Even though it has equlizers that will indicate range of frequencies that cause feedback, I still find it seems to respond to feedback that my Peavey doesn't. Not a biggie but the amp has two mic inputs, one standard 1/4 inch phone plug and one XLR input. Since both have greatly different input impedances and only one volume control for both, using both mic inputs at the same time is really not practical. A volume control for each mic input would have been a big improvement. So, when I know I'm going to need two mics for a gig, I revert back to the 50 pound Peavey and pray this old man's back back don't break.
Comments about Behringer ULTRATONE K450FX Keyboard Amp/PA System:
I got tired of lugging my 200W Hartke amp back and forth to practices. So I bought this little Behringer to fill the role. It's a pretty decent little amp. I only use it for practice with my keyboard and it does that job just fine. For gigs I either use the bigger amp or plug into the house system. It's got plenty of inputs and effects. It even sounds decent when I play my bass through it, but starts to break up at the higher volumes. We also use it at practice for vocals too, and it sounds alright. I really like the RCA input jacks too. I always use them to plug in my iPod at practice and show the guys new songs.Overall a great amp for small spaces, especially for this price.
Comments about Behringer ULTRATONE K450FX Keyboard Amp/PA System:
I use this with an Ovation Acoustic Electric and a Microphone.Playing a small room with 100-150 people.Works great for this application. It is possible to plug in another mic (using 1/4" plug), and another guitar or keyboard. The most I have had was 2 guitars, and a Mic.It handled it with no problems and it sounded pretty good. No feedback issues and it sounded clear and crisp. The effects are a little disappointing, but that isn't why I bought it anyway. It seems to me the effects aren't all that "effective". Good little amp for the money though.
Comments about Behringer ULTRATONE K450FX Keyboard Amp/PA System:
I am using the amp with a yahama psrgx76 Keyboard. This amp has it all, with 100 different effects and a 5 band equalizer. But, the effects are not nesseseary because the same thing is built into the keyboard. It has great bass response, and good mid-range. The hi-frequency is a bit tinney. This would be a great guitar amp they way it is designed. It works well for vocal and keyboard mixing, and I use it in a small room with about 100 people.
