As I previously mentioned, not needing to have a piano tuner four times a year is a cost-cutting measure. In old conventional pianos, parts do wear out and break and it's often difficult to find replacements. This certainly won't happen with my new Casio Privia. The bench is quite comfortable and the stand is sturdy and dependable. I don't use headphones, but they were included in the purchase (I gave them to my son who said they're quite good, not remotely top-of-the-line but, hey, the price (zero) was right).
I am the oldest living piano student on this planet = I was 79 on May 2, 2012. I am a classically trained musician (opera/concert singer) and I've spent my life in music. I've been a silversmith since 1969 but I felt that something was missing in my life. My son said it was a man. Nope. I missed making music.
I found a fabulous teacher. We argued for hours about a piano. I wanted what I'd always had since I was a young child, a traditional conventional piano. I live in a tiny beautiful apartment with no real space for a piano so a lot of down-sizing had to be done. I already have a digital Yamaha keyboard that was top-of-the-line in its time and I've never enjoyed it. I used it simply to learn my vocal music but even with minimal expectations, it didn't bring me musical joy.
David and my son prevailed and brought me into the 21st century. I love and adore my Casio Privia. Being frugal, it's nice that I won't need a piano-tuner four times a year. And, if I choose to move, packing and carrying it is a piece of low-carb cake.
But the real point is that the action suits my style of playing, the sound is full bodied, it requires very little space, and it looks wonderful. So, onward to Schubert D.960.
Any conventional piano would have cost several thousand (or more) dollars. The Casio Privia was a real bargain.

Comments about Casio Privia PX130 88-Key Digital Keyboard:
The Casio Privia PX-130 is without a doubt one of the best digital pianos I've had. The sound quality is excelent, the touch response is realistic, and the feel as close to a real piano as possible. It's lightweight, portable, and sturdy. I don't think you could get a better deal for a piano in this price-range. I use it daily.

Comments about Casio Privia PX130 88-Key Digital Keyboard:
I searched on the internet and a local store for a 88 key weighted, touch sensitive keyboard.
Luck was on my side when I found your web sight and the calls (2) I made to your staff before my purchase was answered by knowledgeable and patient personnel.
Taking piano lessons have always been on my "bucket list" and now that the kids are all grown it is now my time. My piano teacher told me what to look for in a keyboard and the the wonderful staff at Musicians friend were wonderful in every way and the choice of the Privia PX 130-88 Digital Keyboard sounds great. I am enjoying and appreciating this great gift to myself.
Thanks all!
Has alot of features I am just starting to use and so far everything exceeds my expectations.
Looks beautiful.

dont look anywhere else. buy this piano
when i bought this piano i was blown away by the sound and quality of it. its so lightweight you could carry it in one arm. the keys feel like a real piano. it came with a book with sheet music to 60 songs from composers like chopin, bach, mozart, beethoven and joplin AND the data base has all 60 of those songs built in so you can listen to all of them. i didnt buy this from musiciansfriend i got it from a local music store but when i walked in and said i needed an 88-key portable piano he pulled this up in a second because he recommends this to everybody looking for a piano. it truley is amazing. dont get ripped off with another piano like i did when i got the williams overture 88 key which has horrible key response and weighs 120 pounds
Comments about Casio Privia PX130 88-Key Digital Keyboard:
I just received my PX 130 last week, and I love it. The sound quality and voices are extremely accurate and the grand piano sounds like a true grand piano. Also the feel and weight of the keys are accurate and truly amazing for the price range. I've played several pianos twice the price and I can't tell a difference. This piano has quickly become my favorite instrument! I played my first show with it today and the response from the audience was amazing. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a top notch instrument. My only concern is that it doesn't have a 1/4 output and if you are gigging with this instrument you will need buy an adapter, however with the adapter it still sounds amazing , so that shouldn't be something to stop you from buying. I give it a 10!
Comments about Casio Privia PX130 88-Key Digital Keyboard:
I was excited about this piano (Casio Privia 130) when my Grandmother ordered it. I got to open it yesterday and it's amazing! The keys have nice rebound, and a real piano feel. The built in sounds are realistic, especially the Pipe Organ, but not so much the strings. It has a deep resonance other keyboards dont have and the presets are beautiful. It also comes with scores to all the presets, over 100$ worth of music. I reccomend this keyboard to anyone, pro or amateur.
Comments about Casio Privia PX130 88-Key Digital Keyboard:
I bought this used in condition 4 with a stuck key and some minor wear marks. I received it in 5 days, took it apart and snapped the stuck key into place, cleaned it and it's as good as new at half price. I love this keyboard, it has really nice action and the grand and classical piano tones are nice. Anyone looking for a acoustic piano substitute for practicing or to use as they're main instrument, feel free to buy this.
Comments about Casio Privia PX130 88-Key Digital Keyboard:
This is my first keyboard, so I don't claim to be an expert, but I did a good bit of research before I made this purchase. The PX130 has all the sounds you'll probably need - several good grand pianos, organs and electric piano - plus some you may never use (vibes, strings). There are certainly other models that come packed with more sounds and features, but you pay extra for that, naturally. I was looking for a quality digital piano that I could also use as a MIDI controller and I found it. The keyboard seems durable and the action of the keys really does feel like a piano. It's a simple yet solid instrument. My one complaint is that there is no 1/4 inch out, but I use the USB to go into my laptop's DAW software, so it doesn't really matter and I can always get a headphone to 1/4 inch adapter if I need it.Musicians Friend also throws in a free double braced stand, a stool, and a pair of headphones. The headphones are junk, but the stand and the stool are really nice. If you're looking for a good value, I don't think you'll find a better deal. Needless to say, I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. Great job, Casio and MF!
