New functionality with Overbridge
Overbridge is a new function that has been added to several Elektron analog instruments, including Analog Rytm. It unites your hardware and your software via a USB connection with unprecedented seamlessness and organizes your workflow into a simple, easy-to-use graphical interface that displays all of your Analog Rytm's parameters. Overbridge allows you to sync your Analog Rytm to your VST/AU-compatible DAW, enables bi-directional multi-track audio streaming, provides editing and automation mapping via the Overbridge plug-ins, and offers an organizational scheme for sounds and samples.
Design sounds using Overbridge' dedicated plug-in, or control parameters via the knobs on your Analog Rytm. Exploit the attributes of your Elektron sequencer within your DAW sequencer, tweak sounds on your Analog Rytm via the Overbridge GUI and transport them to live performances in the instrument. It's a whole new world of sound design, sequencing and production functionality that sets Elektron apart.
A more powerful drum machine
The Analog Rytm pushes the limit of what is possible to achieve with a single machine. The eight analog drum voices take advantage of several dedicated analog circuit designs, each of them fine-tuned for generating a distinct class of analog drum sounds. For ultimate percussive flexibility, every voice can also be spiced up with customizable samples. The perfect unity of analog drum sounds and samples simply goes beyond.
Beats with character
Plenty of tools are available for shaping the vibe of the beats. Affect every voice with its own analog multimode filter and analog overdrive circuit. To add shimmer and polish to the rhythms, the reverb and delay send FX will prove invaluable. And before the beats hit the sound system, the analog compressor and analog distortion of the master channel will ensure proper pump and grit. The sound of the Analog Rytm has no match.
The twelve back-lit, velocity and pressure sensitive drum pads offer beat smiths a quick and spontaneous way of creating rhythms. At the same time, the critically acclaimed Elektron step sequencer offers features like manipulating sounds on a per sequencer step basis. The combination of drum pads and step sequencing gives both instant results and the opportunity of detailed editing. The ultimate beat is just around the corner.

Comments about Elektron Analog Rytm:
Its a hybrid analog/digital drum machine that has old school appeal and playability, but with modern power. It has become my new favorite piece of gear. The interface is a bit confusing at first, but I find that is the case with any drum machine i've ever owned. I've owned alot of different synths and drum machines before coming to this one and its expensive so it isn't for everyone, but if you love programming synth sounds and you also have a passion for electronic music, this hardware will serve you well. The sound quality is excellent. It has a very clean, modern sound, but I'm able to dial in some dirtiness to it. It has a wide tonal variety it each of the drum engines. The onboard effects are enough if you're just doing drums on this thing, but if you're doing drums and bass and lead sounds simultaneously (which this machine is easily capable of in its own way) you'll probably want to have a couple of external fx. Other than the limited effects selection, I love this machine. It makes it so easy to dive in and edit the synth sounds on the fly and you can apply automation to almost everything.
