Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:
Great sounding unit! Good tone control. It's still big and heavy, but not as bad as the old ones (122, etc). I takes 2 people to carry up stairs, but it's well worth it. I found the tone varies greatly depending on placement and room acoustics. I bought a used "as is" damaged one from Musician's Friend, and put a little into it and it works great. What a deal! I play a Hammond SK2 through it, and I love the sound.

Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:
Out of the box I connected my Hammond to it and I got a blinking red light. I took off the back and found the rotor motor just sitting in the cab. I had to connect the motor and grommets and connect the wiring harness and belt. The instructions said nothing about it shipping this way so I guess it was a screw up. Also the rotor is made of styrofoam. I was taken back a bit. For what they cost I didn't expect that. Sounds great we'll see if it holds up.

Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:
I've played organs for many years with Leslie speakers. Still own a 910 Leslie. I have a Roland VK77 & a Hammond XK3-c I use through this 3300. They both sound like a Hammond B-3. Very very satisfied with the sound & performance of the 3300.
Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:
This is an awesome Leslie and a must for the xk3c if you can afford it. Can use it with any keyboard really and it can be tweaked by slowing the upper and lower rotary horn and bass speaker faster or slower in the fast or slow speed. Powers on when you turn the keyboard on if you are hooked up with the 11 pin cable. And it sound awesome.
Very rugged for road trips
Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:
For years, due to a number of reasons, I was stuck using rotary emulators in keyboards and organ synthesizers. While some are admittedly better than others, all of them fall far short of the real thing. I purchased the Leslie 3300 in January, 2010 for several reasons. First the reviews were (deservedly) positive, it has a tube amp in it, it was a real rotary speaker, and it was clearly portable. What this speaker has done for my organ tone is nothing short of amazing. It's night and day in comparison to any emulator. When dialed properly, you can get an amazingly warm sound out of it, overdrive the heck out of it, or whatever. It's hugely customizable, with the ability to manually tweak acceleration, deceleration, slow, and fast rotary speeds. If you like the slower acceleration and deceleration of older Leslies, that can be accommodated. With the 8- and 11-pin inputs, you can control everything from your organ with no need for additional switches or pedals.Portable is a relative term here; it's not the lightest box in the world, but it's way easier than older models not designed to move.In all, you cannot go wrong purchasing this unit.
Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:
I have for years used a 122 leslie and B3 until I I downsized with a XB-2 organ. When I found out about the 3300 and purchased one I was amazed at the sound, quality, and movability of this cabinet. I never have to pull out all of the drawbars for a lead ride anymore, just add a little volumn. Outstanding piece of equipment and well worth the price.
Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:
I have played keyboards, for 40 years. Had a b-3 with 147r leslie, in the 70's. Started playing yamaha motifs, and was able to live with the simulators. BUT,.....If your a real, feel, organ player, this is the best product on the market! I've had the motion pro's, they are shrill, hard to tweek and those grounding issues,...no comparison. This is a high price, high quality ,piece of gear. You will love it, right out of the box!!
Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:
My church bought this Leslie speaker to replace our 714 Leslie. We hooked this leslie up to a vintage C-2, and man did it bring that organ back to life! The power that it puts out! I have to keep the volume in the range of around half because it would just blow you away! the portability is great as well, because I have an XK-3 by Hammond as well. It's a great buy if you want the power and don't care about the looks. After playing ours, every organist who comes in wants one!
Comments about Hammond Leslie 3300 Rotary Speaker:
I first read about the Leslie 3300 about 3 years ago, and I had been anxious to try one. Nobody local had one to demo. Finally, one showed up at a local music store, and I got to demo this fantastic Leslie with a Hammond XK-3 organ. The Leslie 3300 sounds amazing. It sounds like a vintage Leslie 145. It looks very cool, and has input options to accommodate just about any keyboard. With 300 watts RMS, there is plenty of power to shake the floor and rattle the windows! The separate controls for horn level and subwoofer really help dial in whatever Leslie sound you want; from the classic 122 to a 31H! The cabinet is very sturdy and well built. If it wasn't for the price, I would have bought 5 of them! I think they're a little too expensive. Sure, there's nothing like a Leslie, but there are some really nice amps available for much less money!
