Korg has developed a teaching system that uses the Korg GEC5 as its chief hub. It is available in a wide variety of configurations, one of which is sure to meet the need of your particular classroom. These packages include the GEC5, GEC5 student interfaces, keyboard instruments, headphones, monitoring and internal cabling for hooking the system up and installing it into your teaching environment. A CAT5 Ethernet cable is required as well, but is sold separately.

This is the student interface of the GEC5 system. There are three main modes of operation, each of which can be selected within the software interface at the teacher’s station. Lecture Mode is used to present material in a lecture format. All students hear the teacher’s microphone and instrument, allowing for a captive and quiet audience. Practice Mode is used when the students are working independently (each student hears only his or her own instrument or computer). Group Mode is used when students are working together in groups (two or more student workstations in any conceivable configuration). Each student in a group can hear his or her own instrument as well as the instruments or computer and microphone of the other members of their group.
