The Korg LP-350 Lifestyle Digital Piano is a modern, slimline piano that enhances your home—not only with its deeply expressive sound, but also with its beautiful appearance. Designed to visually complement nearly any living space, The Korg LP350 piano is less than 11 inches deep,making it both space-saving and efficient. When not in use, the soft-closing keyboard cover leaves a smooth, flat top with absolutely no protruding hinges, allowing the Korg LP-350 to become part of your room's decor. Don't be fooled by its skinny profile, however, the Korg LP-350 piano is equipped to provide robust and accurate piano performance. The LP-350 is a grand-touch action keyboard, with 3 pedals, and a powerful speaker system to deliver its rich piano sound.
The piano sound of the Korg LP-350 was meticulously sampled—in stereo—directly from a concert grand piano to ensure a lavishly resonant tone. The samples were captured at multiple velocity levels, so subtle variations in expression will be naturally reflected in the piano sound you hear. The LP-350 extends beyond piano to include a rich variety of sounds—thirty in all—including Vibraphone, Marimba, Acoustic Guitar, multiple Jazz Organs, Church Organs, and more. In addition, the Layer mode allows two sounds to be played simultaneously with the balance between the two sounds also being adjustable.
The Korg LP-350 keyboard has been designed with Korg's finest piano touch and feel, using their RH3 (Real Weighted Hammer Action 3) technology. Just as on a traditional grand piano, the keyboard provides a heavier playing touch in the lower register, becoming progressively lighter towards the upper keys. Refinements designed for capturing rapidly repeated strikes ensure that the your expressive abilities will not be impaired even during fast passages. Three levels of touch sensitivity are available using the Key Touch Control function, allowing you to customize the dynamic response to your own playing style. Note: As a measure of environmental responsibility, Korg does not use lead in the keyboard hammers.
The internal stereo sound system of the Korg LP-350 Digital Piano features 2 large 10cm speakers powered by a pair of 11W amplifiers. These speakers are housed in a bass-reflex enclosure, providing extended low-end response for a deep, full sound. The position of the speaker enclosure below the keyboard allows the sound to envelope the entire piano, creating a more natural resonance.
Pedals are an indispensable part of getting a true piano performance, and the Korg LP-350 provides the same three pedals found on a concert grand piano: damper, soft, and sostenuto. Both the damper and soft pedals support half-pedaling to allow more subtle expressive touches. The entire pedal unit can be repositioned on the piano, providing extra support when used free-standing, or offering a more compact footprint when placed against a wall or partition.
Additional features to enhance your performance enjoyment:
•Effects: Onboard reverb adds depth and ambience, and chorus adds motion and fullness. The depth for each effect is independently adjustable.
•Metronome: The metronome is convenient for practice and learning. The tempo can be set by the slider, or a specific tempo may be entered manually. In addition, the meter/time signature is also selectable, with a selectable accent (standard or bell) to mark the downbeat. The metronome volume can be freely set.
•Key Transpose: The musical key of the LP-350 can be quickly set, to allow familiar fingerings while sounding different keys. This is helpful when working with singers with varying ranges (male/female etc.) or different instruments.
•Temperaments: In addition to equal temperament and piano stretch-tunings, you can choose from two historical temperaments (Kirnberger and Werckmeister) for period-correct performances.
•Demo songs: 30 demonstration songs ranging from classical to originals can be individually selected, or listened to in series, showcasing each of the onboard sounds.
•MIDI connectors: The LP-350 provides both IN and OUT jacks that support MIDI, the standard way to transfer performance data between electronic musical instruments and computers. This can be used for educational software, edutainment applications, MIDI recording, or with notation software.
•Dual headphone jacks: Two headphones can be connected simultaneously for student/teacher; parent/child; friendly duets; etc.

I wanted an instrument that was simple to use and has sound and action similar to my grand piano. This piano meets both expectations! The instument is heavy because of the key mechanisms ... however, it's worth the weight! I was very favorably surprised by the quality of the sound ... exactly what I wanted.

I ordered this piano in white about a month ago for my dorm. I was extremely excited to see it arrive. It came well-packaged in an enormous box and was relatively easy to assemble. The construction and quality of the stand, pedal, and speakers is unmatched. However, I had to rate quality four out of five because I found the keys to be rather noisy when played. It can be distracting and annoying at times, but this is usually not too much of a problem when playing at normal volume. As far as the feel of the keys, the quality of the sounds, and the extra features go, it's a great instrument. With the placement of the speakers below the keyboard, it sounds really just like a piano. You could pay a lot more for a Roland keyboard just like this and not get noticeably better sounds. All of the additional sounds are also some of the best I've heard on a digital piano. The powerful bass these speakers can put out is amazing. The weighted keys are also very convincing, if only they were a little quieter. I haven't gotten to deep into the other extra features but they are also very nice. The piano is pretty self-explanatory and not full of ridiculous sounds and useless features that come with many keyboards out there. It is simply meant to be the closest thing you can get to an acoustic piano in a space-saving design and it does a good job living up to that description.

I have owned this keyboard for about 3 months, and I'm very impressed with the sound quality and feel of the weighted keys.I've been wanting to get back into playing piano for my own pleasure, and this instrument really inspires me to sit down every day and do some playing. I'm a huge Elton John fan, and playing his songs on this keyboard is a real kick. The bass response is just amazing-the folks at Korg did a great job sampling some huge Steinway, I guess. And the small footprint is perfect for apt. dwellers,as I am. I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing to my pocketbook by buying this product, but I'm glad I did, it is definitely worth it. I say check it out!
