Large dynamic trigger pads make it easy to program beats and trigger one-shot samples—while the knobs, sliders, and buttons deliver complete realtime control over your software. DirectLink mode provides easy, automatic access to common DAW functions including transport, mixer, track pan, and virtual instrument parameters—no complicated setup required. Axiom Instrument Mode
With other MIDI keyboards, assigning controls to virtual instruments has never been easy. Now thanks to the Axiom 61 controller's new Instrument mode, a single button instantly maps the fader, buttons, and encoders to any virtual instrument inside your DirectLink-compatible host*. You get direct access to synthesis parameters such as filter cutoff, LFO rate, and envelope settings—without having to manually configure anything. It's almost like turning Axiom 61 into a dedicated hardware synth.

Been playing on this for a few months now. Build quality is excellent. Keys are solid and bouncy, mod wheel and bender feel much better than Akai's. Rotary encoders are smart, 2 speed. Pads are spongy, but alright. Talkback with Ableton is fantastic; parameters display on screen when tweaked, and Ableton has presets already mapped. Excellent, solid controller for the price.

I'm so glad that I purchased this. As a college student, there's not a lot of space in our living areas and travelling to gigs can be a real hangup. But with this lightweight setup, I just plug it in to my MAC and I have all the sounds of other workstations for a fraction of the cost and weight!
Most people don't use the faders but Logic turns the midi controller into a legit Hammond B3!! The 8 keys on the left function as your presets and faders as drawbars! I love it! The keys have the perfect tension and is very touch sensitive, which is a keys player's dream!! The knobs and faders are also easy to setup with your DAW so mix and editing becomes a breeze if you take the time to label everything!
Also the resale value is appealling as well, in case you are a latest update type of person!

This is a great Midi Controller overal i dont use all the knobs and sliders but the keys and pads are great. i thouhgt the keys should of been more tight tho but the keys are nice and bouncy. this is my first keyboard and i love it i was lookin at the original axiom and didnt like how it looked cheep and i was looking at the axiom pro and i realy wanted that it looked good and hight quality but it was to over price then this came out and toped them all it has a nice black finish and pro feel to it go buy one
