bought mine in a local music store and got it for the same price, 99$  its really worth the price!! if your new to this studio thing (like i am) and if you dont have an awesome budget, go get it!! but if i'd have more money to spend on this, you can have something a lot better but you know, it does the job for me

I was wary of buying this based on some of the reviews posted here but I am glad I did. Got mine on sale for $69 with a nicely made sustain pedal also on sale for about $18 bucks. As a fledgling laptop recorder new to MIDI, I was able to get up and playing in virtually no time, just a quick driver download for Windows 7 from M-Audio's website. The keyboard has great action even if the keys are a bit light and plastic-feeling. But I dare you to find anything this good for anywhere near this price. My only regret is that I didn't get two at the sale price and give one to my son. Still might - it's a bargain at the regular price.

After countless attempts at trouble-shooting the compatibility issues with this product, M-Audio and Ableton have lost all my future business. Though sold as a package deal, the keystation 49 was never on the list of midi devices. Early attempts at updating and/or rolling back drivers would only temporarily fix the problem. I have never been able to complete a project with this software and now I cannot even get it to recognize the hardware.

I just got my Keyrig 49 , and I have to say I'm impressed . I had a Korg Nanokey and three keys quit on it after two days so I returned it to the store .Being new to this DAW stuff I was a little confused on what to purchase , so I thought "what the heck " I'll try this one out , I got it this afternoon , plugged it in , installed the virtual instruments and was blown away !!!! If you are looking for an inexpensive, simple controller , look no further ! If I can get this thing installed and sounding this good so easily , anyone can , as I am an old guy just getting into this digital stuff , and virtual instruments and all that . Buy it !!! I haven;t seen anything better for the money !!!
