The rotary horn amp's proprietary class A, AB, B variable mode FET pre-amp provides crystal clear sound and an adjustable palette of rich overdrive harmonics. For years, 38 to be exact, I’ve been faithful to my 130 pound, rotary horn cabinet, in tandem with several different drawbar organs, as I was convinced nothing would give me that famous rotation sound.
Well that all changed with the purchase of the Motion Sound PRO 3X!
I compared the PRO 3X and my rotary horn cabinet side by side, and the PRO 3X gave me everything ‘old faithful’ gave me, except the backache!The screaming highs and the rumblin’ lows were the there along with whatever amount of distortion I felt like adding.
Sending the signal to the PA or personal amplifier couldn’t be easier thanks to 1/4” line outputs. You have a choice of sending just the low rotor for amplification or a mixture of both the horn and low rotor. The power that I didn’t have before to cut through the mix is now unlimited.
I can also shut off all rotation for that clean, stark, sound.

The features on the PRO-3X are great. It is small, but with a big sound. I run my Hammond XK-2 and Kurzweil SP-76 through it. I use a Fender bass amp for the lower end. This cost hundreds of dollars less than a Leslie, but it gives an equal sound. You can adjust the rise and fall times as well as the fast and slow rotary. It is light weight and compact. You can easily tailor your sound to your exact specifications for any venue. You have the options for the low end. I have three amps to choose from depending on the venue. The gain feature gives it the old overdriven mild distortion sound that'll knock your socks off. I use it in conjunction with the digital Leslie effects on my Hammond.

I use this and a Fender bass amp for my Hammond XK2. The horn brings out the best in the Hammond. The on-board digital Leslie in the Hammond is fine but the real rotary horn kicks it up a notch or two. It can't be beat for the price.

I've used my Pro-3X out on gigs for a month now with my Hammond XK-1 and all I can say is - awesome job Motion Sound!I use an older Ensoniq ZR76 for main synth station and Roland KC-550 keyboard amp and wanted a better organ sound (B3) so I bought the XK-1 digital by Hammond, and although it made a noticeable difference in my drawbar organ sound it still lacked in the Leslie department, the digital built-in leslie sim still wasn't what I was looking for, so then I saved and bought the Pro-3X rotary horn cabinet and it sounds awesome with my XK organ and sits nicely on top my amp, the difference in my Leslie sound is, as my wife said after a gig one night, "it's day and night". The Pro 3-X comes with a good manual, has a 2 button foot switch, and lots of manual functions, if you really want it to shine put a Shure SM57 mic on the front opening, plus use the Pro-3X direct outs. Its as close to a B3 organ in one hand, and Leslie in the other as I am going to get at this time. I am pleasantly happy with this unit. Rock on!

I had an idea to buy this thing, and run my pa through it. I play a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and I mic it for gigs. Since the pro-3x has a footswitch I use it as an effects pedal too. Kinda prcey on one hand, but on the other you go honest rotary sound, and an effect that turns heads. I don't know if anyone else uses it for this, but Im glad i did.
