I use it on small-venue gigs to amp my Triton. If I'm needed to play bass on a gig, it doubles VERY well as a bass amp. The multiple channels are a nice feature, but more importantly, this thing sounds great over the full range of both instruments I use it for. It's built solidly, and weighs accordingly. The built-in road handle is nice but watch that you don't scrape the bottom of the amp when you hit a rock, curb, etc.

Well, I should say I'm not using this amp for keyboards. As it has a full range speaker, I use it to amp my acoustic guitar and bass. Unfortuately, it emphasises a few annoying frequencies and is hard to tame. I've had to program the crap out of my EQ on my outboard FX unit to get it to sound half decent. Also ran into a very annoying feature... if you want to run two separate instruments out of the balanced L/R outs (i.e. one inst on R, the other on L), then you'll need some dummy plugs in the other jack on the channel, otherwise the unit will broadcast on both L/R! Really irritating, and the circuit diagram does not show this!anyway, I'm selling mine... really don't like the sound, and if you don't have two people, forget about moving this thing up and down stairs (unless you're Atlas!)cheers.

I had to return it. It weighed too much to carry to every gig.

What a difference from my KC 60!

Comments about Peavey KB 4 75W 1x15 3-Channel Keyboard Amplifier:

Only complaint: Its pretty heavy. I can move it alone alright though.
I really like this amp. I run my Roland Juno DI, all my software synths, and even guitar, bass and mics sometimes, and this thing is great. Can always hear it over my guitar player's 100 watt Marshall half stack. And doesnt distort. Overall very good amp, especially for the price... 10x better than my old Roland.

Wanting a clean amp for my keyboard, I bought the KB4. I've tried others, but found it difficult to find something clean and powerful. This one meets my needs and more. It's weight is the only down side.

      KB-4 For Drum Amp

      By DonohoKid

Comments about Peavey KB 4 75W 1x15 3-Channel Keyboard Amplifier:

My old man originally bought this KB-4 amp to use as a portable pa at church (and also for small 1-man-shows); mostly using if for a guitar amp and for vocals. It handled that with no problems. Once he stopped performing, he handed it down to me.It's now used as an onstage drum amp. Triggering acoustic drums with my Roland TD-10 (expanded); it sounds unbeleivably great. I can eq the kick to punch at good volumes while keeping the snare crisp. Everything in between (toms) come through just as well.Outdoors (grandstand/pavilions) it has a hard time keeping up... The kick will clip the limmiter on it when turned "way-up". But anything smaller (or more confined), it has more then enough power.

      Don't buy!!!!!

Comments about Peavey KB 4 75W 1x15 3-Channel Keyboard Amplifier:

I bought this amp less than a year ago. I use it at church every sunday. The first thing I noticed is that there is a humm that you can't get rid of. I have changed cords used a ground lift adapter, but nothing worked. The amp now has a blown tweeter and distorts badly. I am very unhappy with this amp and the quality that is in it.

The Amp Fairy has Landed !!!!

Comments about Peavey KB 4 75W 1x15 3-Channel Keyboard Amplifier:

I bought this amp to replace another one, and MAN! was I blown away by the versatility and power of this little guy. I run an electric 12 string and a bass through this powerhouse.(at the same time). My bass player can't believe that this amp can handle both of us. It does, with more power to spare. GET ONE!!!
