Comments about Roland RD-300NX Stage Piano:
The Piano sounds are awsome! The only drawback I discovered is while you have the sustain pedal down and are holding the last notes played in one tone and you want to make a smooth transition into another tone it interups your current tone and the sound just blanks out on you, but you are now in the new tone bank, hence the 4 star rating.
Comments about Roland RD-300NX Stage Piano:
Great real piano feel. So if your a piano player you will fee like you are playing a real piano with fine action.
What are you wating for buy it you will love this piano from the moment it arives at your home.
I purchased one of these 2 years ago becuase I play in a 50's and 60's rock and roll group. We do the music the way it sounded back then.
In any event this piano is incredible. We do a lot of Elvis, Jerry lee, Santana Young Rascals, Wilson Picket and on and on. In any event, can go from live piano sound to the classic B-3 sound with a build in Leslie. With this piano, no need for a Hammond B-3 or even the new portable Hammonds XK something.
This thing is sampled sounds and gives you the full draw bar Hammond to other Hammond sounds without the hefty price tag. I play this through a classic Fender Bassman Amp with 4-10 speakers. With a built in Leslie, if you close your eyes you would swear there is a B-3 Hammond with Leslie is in the room. I can't tell the difference. In addition I carry an eletronic leslie that adds to some of the sounds that the piano bypasses the leslie with. So you can't beat this incredible sound that feels like a piano and plays so many sounds that are authentic.
Great piano to move from gig to gig. In the bag and over the shoulder and out the door.
Great piano, buy it you won't go wrong and you will love every minute of playing with this.
I have hauled this piano from gig to gig and it just keeps ticking. It so easy to set up plug in and play right out of the box.
Great value for the money. If you always wanted a B-3 and cannot afford one. This piano will give you that and much more as it has piano sounds, rodes, early Ray Chalres Wurlizter, voice sounds. You canot believe this piano.
Comments about Roland RD-300NX Stage Piano:
I perform mostly on baby grand pianos but when I have a gig where there is not one the Roland RD300nx is really good. I like it a lot.
The keys are some kind of new plastic that feels very much like ivory. The piano sounds are very good. You can adjust each piano sound with the lid up-down-or in between. The organ sounds are pretty good too. There are several samples of each instrument-not just one accordion, steel drum, marimba or vibes but several of each. You can do splits and layers. Of course the owners manual is lame and hard to decipher. Why is it the user manuals are always written by electronic engineers and not musicians? They don't use musician terminology to tell you clearly how to do things a musician would want to know and do. It takes a while to figure out how to program the keyboard.
Sturdy and solid.
At first I bought a Kuraweil. I used it for 3 weeks and sent it back. I exchanged it for the Roland which is much much better. The Roland cost more but well worth it.
