Comments about Studiologic MP-113 Dynamic MIDI Foot Controller Pedalboard:

Good unit. Very very simple connection and setup.
You need to know how to set up MIDI Receive on your keyboard/sound module.
Just decide on a MIDI channel for the pedalboard, and set it up on the MP 113.
Next set the same MIDI receive channel on your keyboard/sound module to whatever voice you want to play with the pedals, and that is it.
All of this took me 5 minutes to do, from plugging in cables to playing the pedals. Really! I use a Kurzweil PC88mx... Which is very easy to set up MIDI Receive-wise. Other MIDI rigs may be harder to work with, but that is not a fault of these pedals.
This unit is simple to use. Only downside is that it does not remember its own settings... Ya gotta set it up each time you plug it in.
HOWEVER... if you keep the pedals plugged in to power, you can turn your keyboard or sound module on and off, and the pedals will still send the MIDI data as usual. But for those unhooking everything at each gig, well, you will have to set up the pedals each time.
But... great pedals, simple use and setup, at a great price. Not too bad!!!

Comments about Studiologic MP-113 Dynamic MIDI Foot Controller Pedalboard:

I've been playing professionally since 1972 - starting with organ and electric piano. Always liked using pedals on organ, but became problem when I got rid of the full organ. Had a one octave Multivox set which they no longer make. Had Elka DMP 18 for about 25 years - also, no longer made. These have proven to be a pretty good alternative after the Elka started going. I own 3 sets of the 17 key version which are no longer made - these are a little lighter construction than the Elka pedals but have been more than adequate for more than 4 years. I have them hooked up to Novation Bass Station or A-station and do most of the selections for octaves, sound from the modules rather than the pedals. Overall I've been very satisfied with these pedals - I'm sure the 13 key versions are similar quality.

    Works well

Comments about Studiologic MP-113 Dynamic MIDI Foot Controller Pedalboard:

Bought this to use with my band so the bass player and or I could add keyboard parts like strings and organ, ambient type effects. Unit is simple to setup and works well. The manual could be better but it works and seems sturdy enough.

Comments about Studiologic MP-113 Dynamic MIDI Foot Controller Pedalboard:

I haven't had these pedals long but they way I'd like to use them they're not very good. For all you RUSH fans out there Geddy Lee used the MOOG Taurus Bass Pedals and now supposedly the Roland PK-5A MIDI pedals to trigger his keyboard sounds and lines in their live shows. With these pedals (StudioLogic MP-113) Switching octaves is way to hard for anybody to do live while stading. Example... To switch an octave up you must first push and HOLD the TRANSPOSE button, while doing that you must some how manage to push the C# then D pedals to change the octave. Now trying to do all this while singing and playing bass such as myself is way hard to do. So to compensate I run these pedals through my KORG X50 synth for those of you who own one you can change the octave on the synth alot easier than on the pedals. I personaly would like to be able to switch octaves throughout one song. So if your looking to get these pedals to play RUSH type songs and want to switch octaves without struggle DO NOT BUY THESE PEDALS. Get the Roland PK-5A MIDI pedals. Or better yet, buy the all new MOOG Taurus 3 Bass Pedals I know there expensive but wow. What a set of pedals!

    Simple but it works

Comments about Studiologic MP-113 Dynamic MIDI Foot Controller Pedalboard:

I bought this mainly because I only needed it for my organ rig. All the others are so expensive but its because they're loaded with advanced features an organ player doesn't need. The only thing I have to do is select the midi channel I want it to transmit on, and I'm all set. 2 things that would make this pedalboard better would be a power switch and the ability to remember the changes you made before turning it off. But it takes like 10 seconds to select the transmit midi channel. Overall I really like this pedalboard. Just don't go throwing it off any balcony's and I think you'll be okay.
