Comments about Suzuki MDG-100 Micro Grand Digital Piano:

Learned piano as a very young child...and have not played in over 50 years. Consider this piano my mid-life equivalent of a Harley:) The unit arrived intact, fit through the back door and - with two 60-somethings in marginal shape - the setup only took an hour or two (not counting trip to hdwr store, as two rather cheesy screws stripped). All was well till we went to close the keyboard cover. The rubber gasket that apparently is designed to keep out dust was not in its groove, but rather laying on the keyboard like a loose snake. Phoned Suzuki customer service twice, and was assured that they'd locate and send out a tech to affix it properly, as we're not about to use glue on this beauty. To date, more than two weeks later, no action on this front. Aside from that, the piano is lovely, sounds great and will get lots of use, as I'm desperately out of practice:) Is there any way you can nudge Suzuki a bit? Oh, another plus...
it fits beautifully in an unobtrusive corner of our VERY small dining room, and classes up the place quite a bit.

Comments about Suzuki MDG-100 Micro Grand Digital Piano:

I debated for several months on purchasing this piano. Many of the 'professional' reviews essentially called this product 'junk'. I didn't want to buy junk, so I strongly considered buying a Kurzweil or Yamaha - in fact, I probably would have, except that I really wanted a piano that looked like it belonged in a formal living room, and the Kurzweil and Yamaha looked like keyboards, not pianos.

Ultimately, after reading some reviews on Musicians Friend, I decided to take the risk on this piano - and I couldnt' be happier. It looks like a $7,000 instrument - and I have no complaints about the sound, keyboard action, or anything really. It wasn't very hard to assemble; it just takes two able-bodied people.

If you are a normal family looking for a digital piano, that actually looks like a real piano, I don't think this product really has any other contenders. I am very happy that I chose this particular piano.

Comments about Suzuki MDG-100 Micro Grand Digital Piano:

It is great in my small living room. It is easy for my child to use. The iPOD connection allows my son to play along with his class music. I am happier with this purchase than I thought I would be. My 4 year old plays it every morning.

          Great Gift

          By Dan Snyder

          from Pennsylvania

Comments about Suzuki MDG-100 Micro Grand Digital Piano:

This piano was defiantly worth what we paid. The years of enjoyment to come will pay for itself.
This piano is truly amazing. We bought it as a gift for our four children and the built in sounds are great. My wife and I do not play but our oldest plays saxophone, she will figure a song she likes out by ear on her sax, then on her key board she bought at a yard sale, then on to her guitar. Well now the dollar key board will be passed down to her little brother she loves this piano.
Our 10 year old is taking in her sisters footsteps, she can do pretty much the same except our oldest daughter won't allow us to get her sister a guitar.
          Looks and sounds great.
          Pricey but worth every penny

Suzuki MDG-100 Micro Grand Digital Piano

          By Antonio LaCorte

          from Washington

Comments about Suzuki MDG-100 Micro Grand Digital Piano:

If you are a concert pianist or earn a living through music you do not want this piano (this should be self explanatory at the price); but if you are a hobbiest, play in a church or have children looking to learn and want a piano that is realistic then this will meet your need.
I was impressed at the numerous options (settings) this platform had to offer. The SD card and IPod dock make it nice for children learning the instrument.
I wasn't really impressed with the overall security of the legs and foot pedal module; there is some wobble but if you do not intend to move the piano too much it is something that is acceptable. I found when mounting the foot pedal support struts with the tapped brass screws that the black gloss coating cracked and chipped off of the pedal box and that the struts were misaligned with their respective pre-drilled holes. To add, I do feel for the price this is one of the better products for initial learning; I like the fact that the keys have a sensitivity adjustment so my young daughter can build finger dexterity while learning and the digitized tone is comparable to a regular piano.
Based on what you get for the price, I would say that there is considerable value when compared to other competative units in this price range. I wanted a unit that fit well in our library that i didn't ahve to continuously tune and had the asthetics of a real piano and the Suzuki MDG-100 met that requirement.

Comments about Suzuki MDG-100 Micro Grand Digital Piano:

I absolutely love this piano! I replaced my "real" piano for this one that looks like a baby grand piano and never has to be tuned. I love the styles and tones and it is very fun to play. I also love the fact that I can record my songs and make my own cd! I plan to make cds for my family and friends this year.!
